Out of Humans, I highly regard those in Emergency Response services, mostly Ambulances and Firetrucks.. I have extremely high respect to those who drive down the streets with flashing lights and loud nosies, knowing that their jobs mean trying as hard as humanly possible to save lives. Heck, the entirety of being a Firefighter is a friggen Escort Mission!
yes i agree with that

it's the 2 jobs i could never do, something about going to pick up body parts that really urks me. i know a few emt's they have great stories but there are a few things we just can't ask them.

Ron Jeremy. The only male porn star that doesn't look like hes gay.
I met Ron Jeremy... and he's an ass.

I was 17, heading to a friend's concert at a club in Toledo. They were playing, Ron Jeremy was there for publicity I guess. I buy my ticket and wait for my friend. Mr. Jeremy approaches.
RJ: "Hey, you guys should sign up for the wet t-shirt contest."
Me: "Uh, no thanks."
RJ: "Oh come on, it'll be fun."
Me: "Really, no thanks."
RJ: "Give me one good reason you shouldn't."
Me: "I'm seventeen."
Long pause.
RJ: "You should still enter the wet t-shirt contest."

The argument didn't end until my friend from the band came up to steal me away from the conversation. Ugh.

Anyways, I have a lot of respect for teachers. Especially the teachers from my high school. They deal with a lot of really stupid kids on an every day basis and must have the patience of a saint, because I know I'd turn violent after the end of one day of dealing with those kids.

My mom. Not just because of the obvious, but also because she teaches "special" kids for a living. And by "special", I mean 15-16 and still can't read.

I respect:

Cops: Dealing with the most annoying parts of society ALL DAY EVERY DAY. "Cops are assholes!" Yeah whatever, you would be too if you were one.

Firefighters (in cities): I respect urban firefighters more than their suburban counterparts. Why? Because they're in the shit every day. Suburban firefighters pretty much use their job to pick up skanks in bars before heading off to another rousing day of watching TV and having chili cook offs at the firehouse.

EMTs: GO GO GO GOTTA SAVE PEOPLE. Its noble, and cool.

Teachers: My mom is a high school english teacher. She goes out of her way every day to help kids and works 15 hour days routinely. The amount of crap teachers put up with is fucking amazing.

Can the man who wrote and preformed The Joshua Tree album possibly be flawed in any way?

I respect ANZAC's not the kind who are in war now (not that I don't respect them, or am totaly sure they are called ANZAC's), the kind who are 80 years old.

People who volunteer, like a guy who coach a 12 year old baseball team without receiving any kind of payment. Thats honorable.

Teachers and Police, most people reckon hate them just for doing their job. They deserve respect for doing their jobs when the people they help don't realise they are getting helped.

I respect the altruistic, the courageous and the gentle. A person's profession actually has very little to do with the matter. Usually people work only because they have to make money and/or because they want respect or authority. Sometimes people seek some sort of personal validation through their professions, but usually it only leads to frustration, because reality is very good at spoiling our fun and making us look like a bunch of fools.

Anyone who takes on any amount of responsibility requiring effort for reasons other than direct personal gain.

I respect animal rescue workers, and the people who go to schools and teach children how to respect animals such as snakes, spiders, and other "creepy crawlies" and educate whatever fears they may have of them away. Paramedics, police, firefighters, nurses, doctors.

The minister of educating over in DK. (don't know the English way to say it) You got to have guts when you can screw over education like this. And by that I mean that he keeps taking money from the pool to the schools to use it on something else.

I'm going with the Police. To rush into a hostile situation daily is quite brave. Especially with all of the kids running round with knives nowdays things are only getting worse.

Gonna go with James Watson. His skill at yanking the prestige of the Double Helix discovery from Rosalind Franklin (who did the actual research on the project) is a very skillful show of how to get fame and fortune in science while still being badass enough to not do work. Oh, and it's funny to listen to him talk about current issues and questions of race.

David Hayter, Simon Templeman, and the late Tony Jay. Also my teachers (specifically my philosophy and gym teachers), and the police.

nurses, social workers and my lovely mum and dad almost forgot anyone brave enough to stand for free speech in the face of excruciating stupidity.
