First off, I searched for this, was shocked to see nothing matching it.

Now, let's talk about great older games. I'm talking the original Diablo, Evil Dead, the first Metroid or Metal Gear game. Games from at least the previuous gaming generation, probably older than that. Got any older games that you sometimes just have to pop in for a trip to nostalgia land?

Honestly.... Pong and Space Invaders and Pacman. Seriously those games defined my early childhood.... I could never get past the first level of Pacman though and Space Invaders set me on fire.

Oh and pitfall (god I loved the 2600) and Lemmingz, which I was never much good at but I gave it my best.

Does Baldur's Gate count? Because that's basically my answer for everything.

If not, I did buy the Space Quest and Kings Quest packs for a wonderful trip down memory lane.
I love those old Sierra adventure games!

Played a little of that. It wasn't great, but I enjoyed it. And yes it counts, it's pretty old (isn't the original Baldur's Gate for the PS1?)

No no no no. The console Baldur's Gate games are very very different from the PC version.
The PC version is by far superior in every way. I still play that game (I was playing this morning!)

EDIT: To clarify, by 'very different' I mean the genres aren't even the same. The console version are action RPGs, and Baldur's Gate for PC is a quasi turn base, quasi open world game. Very very different.

I'm 99% sure that the first Baldur's gate game was for the PC... I tried searching the webs for a PS 1 version of Baldur's gate, but I couldn't find one... The earliest console version of it seems to be for the PS 2. It's not that old... it's like 10-11 years old... It can hardly be considered "retro".

I dunno, I'm going to go with a really retro game, Super Mario Bros, which in my opinion is the greatest platformer ever.

I haven't played many but Master of Orion is probably my favourite. Either that or Wacky Wheels.

Honorable mention to Deus ex, but I don't think that that it's old enough to be counted as a retro game (9 years old).
