When a parent comes to play a game with thier child it's a really nice thing. When there both good at it, it's a great thing to remember. We all have some story to tell about a time where we gamed with one of parents, What's yours ?

I haven't had many of my own, the only one that strikes me is when my dad wanted to play a game together, I chose LBP since it was a easy one for him (he's not very good) we were simply in the pod and customizing our sackboys, he chose some crazy hairstyle and laughed then saying

"I like the way it fixes it's hair with the hand every time I choose a hairstyle" this made me smile as he could see and appreciate the small details in games just like I do (I'm the type of person who see's the art in games not just to own in them)

My mom was a gamer, so I've played many rounds of Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing, Dr Mario, that VS game in Mario 3 and a lot of Goof Troop with her.

Video games? Never.

Used to play chess against my father sometimes until I got good enough to beat him consistently...then he stopped wanting to play.

I've never played a game with either of my parents... I suppose that more a thing of the current parents to do.

When I'm playing GTA IV, my dad will sometimes sit and watch as he too finds humor in the various ways you can kill your friends. Like jumping out of a burning car while they're still in it, to watch it hurl into oncoming traffic and explode.

Sadly, I've never actually had any time bonding with my parents, expect when I gave my dad on some pointers for Farmville, and what website to go to, and that's about it.

EDIT: Me and my dad have bought Battlefield:Vietnam and he quite enjoys it, and I give him tips, was great bonding time with my dad, and now he understands my joy of gaming.

I played monkey ball with my dad once. He was pretty bad. I think the only game he was ever any good at was pong. Outside of video games he is a bit of a pinball wizard though.

Well, I played Fifa 01 with my dad many years ago, but he lost interest when he kept losing! CHARMING.

Then of course there was my mothers brief flirtation with games when she helped me solve some puzzles in Mission Impossible: Operation Surma. There's a game you'll never find again, and I traded it for MGS Snake Eater, what a waste of money.

Me and my dad often had gaming evenings playing 3rd or 1st person shooters, such as Goldeneye and COD4, while listening to metal accompanied with greasy take-aways. Whereas with my mum I've only ever played Wii bowling.
