We got an NES for Christmas one year, and was considerably broke so we had that until the N64 came out. Anyway, when I was a wii (lol, puns) little kid, my dad made sure my brother and I went to be early on school nights. We'd sleep while he played Hunt for the Red October. (He'd occasionally walk the guy up to the screen and go "Hi Dave!" which was apparently a reference to David Letterman that I still don't understand.)
Anyway, we lived in an RV that was about 26 feet long. My "bedroom door" was a sliding wall thingy, and the bottom only went like halfway down so we(my brother and I) could sit in the space between the two beds and watch him play, or watch TV.
However, my brother and I would prefer to actually be able to play the game. So, what we'd do is pretend we were woken up or couldn't sleep for one reason or another. Then, he'd let us sit in the living room with him for several hours, usually allowing us to play. Sometimes we'd just sit with him while he played. It wasn't very interesting and we didn't do alot on the game, but it was time spent with my Dad that I'll always remember and cherish. It was great
