Also, I love the ending to all bad games in history, simply because they END!

And of course, the best ending to one of the best games:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

That shouldn't count, since they came out with a crappy sequel. However, I really love Chrono Trigger's "good" ending, as well as the Dream Team ending. I liked Chrono Cross', but it is a little complex, and it leaves too many questions unanswered, so I can't say it satisfied me in the way that cat girls do.

I really like the ending to Modern Warfare, and I'm not even a CoD fanboy. It's the only CoD game I've played, but just when he throw that pistol to you, etc. (don't wanna spoil anything) I just loved it. I also loved the ending to Okami.

Metal Gear Solid 3 - Very sad and touching.
God Of War 1 - Epic and grand ending that fits the game perfectly.
Knights Of The Old Republic 1 Sith Ending - Simply badass.
Mass Effect - Delivers a good strong finish to the game's story and at the same time sets the stage for the sequel.

I'd have to say Shadow of the Colossus. That game never had much story, but the way they used the gameplay in the ending scene just made it heart-wrenching.

Mass Effect was the rare game that has an ending that actually feels climactic. From the moment I landed on Ilos, I couldn't put the controller down.

I don't know that it's the greatest, but it certainly stands out in my mind.
