The Darkness has excellent voice acting all the way through. Especially the main character's monologues during loading screens.

EDIT: oh, also Mike Patton as The Darkness himself was really neat.

Always loved what Bioware have done with the voice acting for Mass Effect, even moreso this time around (surely, they have just GOT to get Edward James Olmos involved for number 3? It would just be criminal not to!)

I loved the voice acting in Uncharted - fantastic.

Great thread by the way - more often than not developers overlook this or do not pay it as much mind as maybe they should - both Mass Effect and Uncharted prove that great voice acting can really enhance a game and take it to a whole other level of immersion.

The whole of the Legacy of Kain series. With Defiance, the stories between the two games (Blood Omen and Soul Reaver) has merged and prolly won't receive a big send-off. Why? Because the guy playing the Elder God died. That's right, the Voice Acting in that game is so top-notch that they can't continue the game even if all they had to do was replace one guy (although, it would really be weird if a game got released and the Elder God sounded different).

Tis true, Tony Jay had such a unique voice, I am still curious to see what happens in that story however, and would settle for a different voice just to find out what happens, so long as they do good voice casting. Hal Delahousse for instance who does the voice of Quark in Lunar wouldnt be a terrible decision, no Tony Jay, but ive seen worse decisions.

The voice actor for the HL2 Citizens gets some credit for having a voice that's not only pretty good, but also feels fitting for a wide variety of faces you see, INCLUDING black people. He also voices the Sniper in TF2.

How could I forget the delightfully evil SHODAN from System Shock?
The rest of the voice acting in System Shock was pretty mediocre but SHODAN was just plain awesome.
