Jason had been ordered to go meet some other recruits at Booster Gold's laboratory on Earth. He didn't approve, considering that Jason hated humans, but he couldn't refuse orders. He was no inside of his room packing up what he would need, and donning his suit which all Lanterns wore. He sighed, looking around at the room which he had called home, and wondered how long it would be before he could return.
He shrugged, and tried taking his mind off those depressing matters by conjuring a green bow in his left hand, and a green arrow of energy in his right hand. He placed the two together, nocking the arrow and aiming at a spot on the wall. He let the arrow, go, the arrow cutting clean through his rooms wall. Jason nodded, thinking that his powers at least still worked. He let the energy die down, and resumed packing.
A little while later, after Jason had finished, he used his ring to open up a portal that showed the inside of Booster Gold's laboratory, he had been authorized to use it, and given the location only because it was faster to travel this way. He stepped through, feeling a familiar tingling sensation, and then the warm stale air that had made a home in the lab.
Jason looked around, seeing nobody, so instead, he began to walk down a nearby staircase, hoping that it led somewhere to Boost Gold, or fellow Lanterns. He reached the bottom stair just as the introductions ended, Jason already having heard their names.
