I'm watching the Grindhouse double bill again and I just have to say that the fight scene where El Wray fights through the hospital in frickin sweet. Anybody here seen the movie? And did you like it?

Here's the fight scene: [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6lM_XBqO9w[/link]

And here's the part that gets skipped in the other one but is still hilarious: [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao6ejQCmAqA&feature=related[/link]

Yes I saw it, and it was fucking awesome. I love both those movies.

My favorite part was the crash scene in Death Proof, but I can't watch it again.

That leg was so beautiful, and yet so horrifying.

They were zombies.

I missed the double bill in theaters, but I got both on DVD when they came out...still waiting for that collector's edition...

He knew he was in horror movie and wanted to kill people before they turned into zombies :p

I gotta say, I saw the Double Bill in theaters and absolutely loved it, it was funny as it was well written, so when the DVDs came out, I bought them immediately, only to be ***** slapped because the publishers decided to only keep the Machete commercial

Thanks to its Stateside (and/or mainland European) performance, Grindhouse proper never made it to the UK... except once! I saw what was one of the only showings in England (as far as anyone I know knows *the* only showing) of the Grindhouse theatrical cut, and it was awesome. Freaky, but awesome. My favourite bits had to be the fake trailers, though.

Still haven't seen the seperate extended cuts, will have to look into those at some point, to see how they compare.

sadly and unsurprisingly there were licensing issues or at least concerns with the trailers, which were freaking awesome. that's why they were included on the dvd, Machette was because Robert Rodriguez made that himself, so he could include it.

there are rumours that they might make a couple of those movies as a Grindhouse 2 or something similar. the Eli Roth one and not sure the other but i'd love the Rob Zombie one

as for the funniest part in the Planet Terror part of Grindhouse is the love scene to burning building segue. there is actually nothing between those two parts of the movie, he had no idea how to make it jump from one to the other, so he put that cut in there and left it there

Was an awesome movie. and its " El Ray" for reasons we cannot grasp. I like when he was riding the mini bike through the zombiez.

Planet Terror was awesomely cheesy. The action sequences in that film never get old, and just about everyone in that film was awesome in their own way, especially "El Wray".

Death Proof, on the other hand, was a huge effort to watch. I know Tarantino is known for his self-indulgence in dialogue, but that film was seriously boring to me. The crash sequence and the chase bit were great, but the endless chit-chat between the party girls drove me nuts, and not in a good way.

Grindhouse was awesome and the fake trailers were as fun to watch as the actual full length movies

I enjoyed Planet Terror much more than Death Proof. On a side note, what's with Tarantio always playing rapists/deviants in movies? Maybe it's just because I watched From Dusk Til Dawn right before I watched Planet Terror.
