GTA 5: MEXICO!

I reckon they should go back to Vice City (but only because I've been watching a lot of the shield) where you play a dirty cop. think of the ideas you could get. choice was introduced in gta4, so you could expand on that easily with the cop angle.

shoot the bad guy take his drugs, sell later for profit? Shoot your partner, go in league with a drug runner?

It would also be cool to have the first few missions as a cop on patrol, in the squad car, getting a call out and investigating. then something goes wrong and choice comes in.

You could also go into uniform and get away with things, but the penalty would be greater for doing something illegal. I reckon it would be great.

Imagine a mission where you had to run country lined to Mexico. Do you abuse the patrol car, or do you smuggle it in with a van?

I'm all for a realistic female lead too.

For all the things you can pin on GTA, at least they've not been a constant chain of musclebound, grizzled dummies in loincloths/armour/spacesuits.

I've always felt GTA3 guy/Tommy V/CJ/Niko B were all pretty regular guys, not overpowered or particularly good looking really, just guys.

No reason why it couldn't be a woman, though! I believe they can quite easily model a realistic woman with a suitably good backstory for revenge.

I looked around and as far as I can tell there isn't a topic for this (correct me if I'm wrong), but what do you want in GTA 5 if it gets made?

For me? I would like GTA: London, no don't laugh I think it would be good, since Britan isn't all 'Spit spot cup of tea', think about it; Gun trafficking, drug slums, corrupt politicians, chavs to kill. It might go a bit tits-up with the cars though and it might be a bit small-scale.

Maybe it is a bit stupid considering GTA is mainly about British people making fun of American culture. But come on, what are your ideas?
Any game that allows me to curb stomp the burberry clad has my vote.

GTA 50's (see what i did there GTA 5 0 ' s anyway...) gta set in 1950's America would be cool, then you could have cool hot rods and the like. All the gangsters would wear pinstriped suits and you could drive around listening to rock and roll.

sounds amazing. never get to see a GOOD game based on sunny(LOL) ole England. it would be amazing. i liked the first getaway, even though everyone discarded it, comparing it to GTA at the time (even though the story was waaaay better) but the second one was f**king unplayable, i just couldnt handle it.

so yeah, accurate portrayal (screw it, even an over the top one) of London or the UK's criminal underworld as a whole would be golden, the first thing i would do it run down a chav or an NF....unfortunately though, i imagine they would make a great hoo hah about the game, and it wouldnt get released in UK >_<

I agree the series is getting tired. Rockstar needs to re-think it. But, I've always wanted a GTA set in 70s San Francisco, running over hippies with sweet car chases after drug deals gone tits-up.

Speaking of re-thinking; La Noire anyone?
genius. rockstar should be paying us, not the bastards who just rehash game concepts and improve graphics. i swear to god the graphical overhauls is what is blinding people from the fact that its the same game as 3 with physics. i mean who the hell takes elements OUT of a sequel to a game? what were they trying to make it more realistic? people don't weightlift or get fat or thin in real life? ffs.

if anyone hasn't seen game overthinker's video about GTA IV, i suggest you watch it, because he makes good points about the series as a whole. in fact, i don't know if links are allowed but here it is http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NKClJCtWpDg

GTA: Hamilton.
You could, uh, go down to the lawn bowls club and, uh, cruise down the Waikato in a ferry... while throwing lawn bowls at people. Or something. Hell, you could even drive down to the Rialto theatre and, y'know, tip over the popcorn machine. Them folks will be powerful mad, I'd reckon.

Course it'd get released in the UK, the only reason Manhunt 2 didn't was they'd taken violence to a level of gratuitous sadism, that and the wii version making you act out the moves. I think Manhunt 2 maybe took a step too far, I feel Rockstar were pushing to see how far they can go. I don't believe the decision was right, but I understand it, because games are still seen as kids stuff.

Now, so as not to derail, I actually think the UK are less likely to be offended by a UK parody than most other countries, our whole national sense of humour seems to be based on making fun of our failures and weakness, after all.

The setting is irrelevant, at the end of the day. I'm more interested to see how the series' gameplay involves; whether they continue the friends/dating minigames, how they change the cellphone, and whether they go further down the cinematic, linear route or move back towards a more freeform, sandbox style of gameplay.

The location's never been the important thing for me - but then, it's never been set anywhere I've lived.

Probably totally uncreatable and would be huge on memory, but what about GTA: America
Have all the old cities, the entire state of San Andreas for California, and you could go anywhere in America, from NY to the deep south. Id also like to see character customisation, and ALOT MORE GUNS!

Ok, this may sound kinda gimmiky, and some people just love to hate on Lucas, but what about a GTA style game set in the Star Wars uni? I know it could majorly suck if done like shit, but my suggestion would be screw LucasArts, have Rockstar make it.

GT4 graphics but with more things to do like make businesses to fund your gang and stuff that would be cool and base it in London.

also GTA 4 was shit.
