This one hasn't come around in a while. What games that most people hate (and perhaps even you recognise to be effectively rubbish) do you love?

For me, it's splatterhouse. No, not the classic game. The newer one. Yeah. THAT one.

I fail to explain in any way that doesn't make me seem either incredibly childish or just plain like I'm a serial killer...So, I'll just out and say it. Its ridiculous, gory, thoughtless, mindless violence, and I love it.

I think I excuse it, and it's simple combat and dodgy platforming sections, because it seems aware that it ain't a work of art. It seems aware of it's status as basic stress relief.

That, and I'm a sucker for cheesy b-movie style.

Come at me, bros.

Alpha protocol . I just loved that game . Sure it had flaws but nothing game breaking . I noticed a trend games have of making pistols overpowered and this game is no exception . The stealth was fun ( kinda like oldschool metal gear solid). There were multiple paths and secrets you could take , you could even go through the entire game undetected if you wanted .

The dialogue was great and funny . Decisions you made affected the story. It was just all around a great game .

I will even dare say , alpha protocol is a better game than deus ex: HR. Hell alpha protocol is a better deus ex game than Deus ex : HR.

Come at me bros.

PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. The Pokemon fans hated it, the critics hated it, but I thought it was a lot of fun and almost everything about the game kept a constant smile on my face.

I can't wait for the sequel to come out next week.

Diablo 2. Not that it's not a great game and widely recognised as one, but the AMOUNT of time I've spent playing it in the past is frankly embarrassing. Same goes for Icewind Dale 2 and Oblivion...

I'm a sucker for cute, child friendly, colourful platformers like Croc, Mario, Rayman, Crash, and Sly.

They will always be my gaming bread and butter, and every time I see a boring grey modern shooter, they will always remind me of why I fell in love with gaming in the first place all those years ago.

Call of Duty: Black Ops.

It's a good downtime game when I'm sick of all the tactical action in Battlefield 3.

Mercenaries 2, fun and IMO better than Just Cause 2

NCAA Football - I love starting from scratch and turning Bethune-Cookman into a perennial national title contender.

Also, the Ratchet and Clank games.

I remember legendary. Some parts of it truly felt awesome, but then there were the parts which made me realise how broken the game was. It's art design and awesome concept covered an awful lot of the flaws, but if it let up on the spectacle, you soon became aware of massive issues, dodgy controls worsened by dodgier hit detection, glitches that sort of thing. It's those kind of games I want sequals of even more than games I genuinely couldn't find fault with, because I get the feeling that if they got a second chance, it'd be awesome.

And being something of a sociopath, I need to try naughty bear at some point...

I'm not sure that counts as a guilty pleasure...Croc was and always will be gorram awesome.

Mine is playing an RTS (any RTS really) and meticulously wasting my time taking every expansion, getting every upgrade, maxing out on supply and then slowly destroying my opponent.

Each round can take hours, but I find it oddly relaxing

Darkwatch. The story line was terrible but it was a fun shooter game and the weapons looked wicked cool.

Nah, just kidding, I respect your opinion.

I guess for me it would be it would be the Saints Row series, I have always been a fan of Saints Row and even though people called the first one a GTA clone (and it was although it was a very good clone) I still enjoyed the game a lot.

EDIT: Oh, and Fuel. That game is poor but the fact that it has a huge map lets me travel the world with some driving music and enjoy the sights.

For me it's Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, though I think it's mostly because it was the first shooter I actually played through (I'm young, okay?) and I didn't have anything to show me how comparatively bad it was. I'd probably hate it if I played it now.
