I hate it when people say swallowing gum "stays in your digestive tract for [insert number of years here]." It's food. It passes out your pooper like anything else. If gum clogs up your digestive tract, I'd have been dead a long time ago.

I all honesty, if there's a trash can nearby I hang a few feet away from it to see if I can make it in, otherwise, I just put it back into the wrapper.
