I do shoot the M1 but not often. My grandfather had it 'sporterized' when he got back by way of a lighter stock so it isn't 100% original. The barrel is like a mirror though, not a single spot of rust.conelrad said:I grew up with old military clunkers and actually do WW2 reenacting in my spare time. Problem now is that whenever someone mentions an arm younger than 60 years old my eyes glaze over as I struggle to understand.

Some nice history here though: you shoot that M1 Carbine Frost27? Or is that a collector's piece?
I agree with the Luger reloading action YellowCellPhone - our German unit officer has one. He's used to it now but he tried teaching me the other day. Sexy-looking though.
I love the k98. It's got the perfect weight for the round and shoots straight as an arrow. Very fun shooter.FiveSpeedf150 said:Those Mausers are a trip to shoot at the range, aren't they? The steel buttplate is... unforgiving at best ;-) I've also got an M9, since it's the same pistol I carry in the USN. As for your savage... one is on my "To Buy" list for sure!Frost27 said:Mauser K98k - 8mm Mauser

I have often found that there are few things as stress relieving as a day at the range. I started shooting when I was 6 years old with my father and have loved it as a hobby ever since.
Aren't they close to non-existent? The Calico Liberty stuff looks high-tech and all, but did anyone at all buy them other than the people who supply high-tech looking guns for movies?Dirty Hipsters said:I've always wanted a Calico Liberty 3 machine pistol, but sadly I can't own any kind of automatic weapon in my state (plus they're pretty rare).

Carries a sidearm and has rage issues... nice... that said, I'm probably going to get a concealed weapon license, when I move to America after I'm done in the Royal Marines.TheIronRuler said:My Uncle carries a Jericho handgun with him to almost every occasion.
It's strange, creepy, homicidal, I usually stay away from him because of his spontaneous rage, but overall he's a swell guy.
There's no need to, but provided you're not a psycho, gun collecting can be a nice hobby.Akytalusia said:i own some kind of 9mm handgun, not sure about the details. it's black and pretty generic looking i guess. it serves it's purpose as well as any other gun i could own. and i don't need to own any others.
How is the Springfield 1911? I have been thinking about getting a hi-cap once they become more readily available in the market.Tuesday Night Fever said:Colt AR-15 HBAR, .223
