Gun you want to have under your pillow at night

No gun, as I am pretty opposed to non-digital firearms. But for the sake of the argument, a tranquilliser gun. Knock them out and leave it to the proper authorities to deal with. And also deals with insomnia!

I have to agree. I wouldn't have any gun under my pillow simply because it would be uncomfortable and unsafe.

Personally, I don't care for guns. Swords on the other hand... I sleep in a room surrounded by many different daggers, knives and swords (albeit that many are display only, but some are fully usable). I don't have much to worry about.

While I am fond of the 1911 series I think I should name something else for originality. How about the new Military and Police handgun [http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/usa/sw-military-police-e.html]? Does anyone with actual experience have any opinions on this weapon?

Also it has been said before but keeping a handgun under your pillow is a bad idea for a whole host of reasons with accidental discharge at the top of the list. If you are really worried about intrusion then keep the weapon in a nightstand or you can use one of those side mounted bed racks that paranoid nutcases buy.

Smith and Wesson don't make a bad gun. That model you have linked to isn't a bad weapon. Though the biggest thing with firing handguns is how well the weapon actually fits in your hand, is it comfortable. If you have a handgun, whether pistol or revolver that doesn't feel right in your hand you will probably never shoot it as well as you would one you felt better holding. Same gun same place my friend. I also have a modified Mossberg 500 12 gauge, and a Winchester model 94 .30-30 rifle in my room.

Nice. I have a vault that has a .308 Palma modified Winchester 70, 2 remington 12 guages, an old Sears & Roebuck pump 12, and a 7.62x39 SKS. Also, enough ammunition to defend myself from most third world nations.

Not bad, in my gun room a have 3 more 12 gauges, 2 .45 revolvers, 2 .38 special revolvers, a .25 auto pistol, .22 rifle, .223 mini-14, .22-250, .45LC rifle, and a .243 SRCM (Super Rock Chucker Magnum).
