Beretta U22 Neos.

Was a scare a while back regarding the pistols firing even when the safety catch was on, but that has since been remedied in new models.

All in all, its a very solid .22 pistol. A practical gun to stick under a pillow.

Got a Walther P38 next to my bed(don't think I will ever have a gun under my pillow), but I'm going to replace it with a CZ-97B in the coming months.
...that's quite the upsize there. Any reason you're going with the CZ-75's big brother instead of a more traditional .45?
I ask because this [http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n182/loc978/Photos/IMAGE_00236.jpg] is my least favorite of all the guns in my collection. Still, I like it better than the 92Fs that I used on active duty...
As for the size difference I've never had an issue with .45s. Living in CA my options are limited and the features I would like make my options even more so. I like the 97B clip size, ergos, thumb safety, weight, and sights(the one I'll be picking up has night sights). The most common semiautos in the stores I go to are Berettas, Sigs, Glocks, XDs, and 1911s all good guns but either don't have the features I want, don't like the ergos, or simply too expensive.

Edit: If you know any metal frame .45s aside from the 1911 I am always open to suggestions. I don't know every gun on the market but I do try to take my time and research potential buys if you know any I missed I am willing to be schooled.

You're wrong there buddy, my 1911 has 10 round magazines. Of course, they're after market, but they're still available. Not too sure if the P38 has them though. Yea, there's the whole moving out of state thing, but handgun capacity should be one of the lesser things on your list then. Besides, if it's for home defense and you've had enough time with it to get used to the firearm, you don't need a huge magazine capacity. In close quarters almost every round will put em down in one shot.
I wouldn't want to spend more money for after market mags that don't sit flush and from what I've been told reduce reliability. I could be wrong as I said earlier I don't know everything. Mag capacity was never my top priority but if the guns that I'm looking at are in my price range have: the same ammo, good ergonomics, a thumb safety, and are both reliable why not get the one with the extra 2 rounds? Don't want to get combative. I've used a few 1911s what kind do you have?
Colt Gold Cup and a Kimber. Inherited both from my uncle, Kimber's more reliable, but the Colt has that "collector value" that I love. What about you?

Another would be an AK-47, in soviet russia kolashnikov still kills you. NO EXEPTIONS.
in soviet russia you sleep on the AK47 and keep a pillow under it
I once read about a revolver THAT FIRES SHOTGUN SHELLS! now THAT is what I wanna see!
New Taurus handgun (Judge), fires a .410 shotgun shell.

Obvious answer: the hot naked lady shotgun. Fires attractive naked ladies at a rate of three per round (by fires, I mean that they magically appear completely stationary and do not hurtle toward their deaths near the speed of sound).

You know what! I'll just have Rainbow Dash guard my god damn door, not like it's necessary where I live anyway, but having Rainbow Dash there would be goddamn awesome.
Fuck what I was going to say, I want Rainbow Dash too.

Nice. I don't own a 1911. I've used a Colt, S&W, Springfield, and I think a Taurus. Pistol wise I got the P38, a Mauser C96 in 7.63mm, and a pair of short .22 Colt Centennials(Show pieces with not much value other than sentimental). Not exactly modern firepower. Got a couple shotguns and a few rifles all of which are also old but not valuable or collectable. Last year I did buy a Kel-Tec SU-16CA and took off the wimpy bipod then put the compact forend on.

The Kel-Tec looks really out of place among all the old stuff I got.

Later I do plan on getting a Kimber or Springfield Armory 1911s. Right now the ones I would want are out of my budget.

To actually keep under my pillow: a maglite torch with six of those big D-Cell batteries in them. Improvised weapon and actual utility device. In the box under the bed, probably a Browning Hi-Power and a Sig P228

Smith and Wesson .500W. Not only can I put a hole in an intruder big enough to bake a pizza through, I can use it as a club.
I have a S&W 500, but for self defense I would rather use my H&K USP compact .40 S&W. Not sure I would keep it under my pillow though...

The hidden gun from Da Vinci in Assassin's Creed 2, the robbers would never know what hit them. Then be able to finish them off with my hidden blades.
