Actually in my experience when a chick has messed with me, I get pissed as hell and never look back... Everyone's different though.

So actually, this thread wasn't just my curiosity, but that of others as well. All of us have been asking each other the same question.

He's whipped more than cream and has a serious lack of self-respect. Does the girl make him feel worthless? If she does, that makes him go back to her because she's drilled through his head that no other girl would want him and even if he could find another girl, she'll still treat him like shit. Relationship abuse goes both ways.
This of course is moot if he's truly happy with his situation but judging by how all of his friends are pissed at him, he probably isn't.

Bottom line is that relationships are just plain f***ed, with the worthwhile and healthy being far from common. That's just the way it is. If you want to bank on the slim chance that Guy can be rehabilitated to the world of people who respect him, go for it. However, don't go out of your way to do it as "Dumbass-itis" is extremely contagious, time consuming and sad.
