I'm still willing to bet that if Sony restored OtherOS all this would go away. While it frustrates me that this effects consumers more than Sony themselves, they still deserve what they got. More than that? Maybe not.

I support the hackers.
You support people who are hacking into people's personal data and using said data for things such as identity theft and causing literally millions of people to lose the ability to play online games and simultaneously having personal deatais comprimised?

There's no way anyone is heartless enough to kick Sony while they're down like this, especially not when they're trying so hard to make amends.
I think you should give the latest Extra Credits episode a watch. Or just look over how "hard" they're trying to "make amends" and think about what they're doing for more than 10 seconds.

To what fucking end, you cock-coughing pricks? This has no fucking point. There is no longer a point in attacking Sony, you're just asking for high end legal ramifications.

...Yes, you moronic fuckwads. Because by taking down the PSN, you will obviously ruin Sony. It will make their stereos, TVs, etc useless because we cannot play online on our PS3s. Jesus fucking Christ, why? And how come no one at Sony, or anywhere for matter of fact, has hacked these sites posting this stuff and finding out who these little cunts are?

Dear Hackers: If you do this, there will be a legion of no life PS3 gamers knocking at your door awaiting to flog your head off.
I'd peacfully advice you to stop.

Do you know just how ripshit pissed I'd be? We technically don't even have PSN back from the last one. When am I gonna finally be able to use my gift card and get my RE5 DLC?! Also, I was looking forward to that welcome back program, not to mention all my online functionality that has ostensibly just been returned. This had really better be just fear mongering and pandering to the hackers out there that are still steamed at Sony. There's no way anyone is heartless enough to kick Sony while they're down like this, especially not when they're trying so hard to make amends.
You really think these guys aren't heartless? I saw on CNN that LulzSec (the hackers mentioned in the Sony attack) hacked PBS as well and planted fake stories on it. PBS for God's sake, donation-funded public educational TV. Clearly nothing is sacred to these scheming shitweasels. These people care about nothing but whatever publicity they get and by trying to screw with the productive members of society.

wonder how many layoffs from sony this will culminate in, hack PSN for lolz and cost people their jobs.... hillarious.

There are Companies out there that actually do serious damage and have incredibly dubious business ethics, and to see these hackers put on their moral crusader capes and justify attacking a company that produces games as 'sticking it to the man' is beyond pathetic.

I hope they are caught and i hope they rot in prison.

These people are 4chan /b/ased. Everything is a game to them including child pornography, stalking, trolling Oprah and messing around with things senselessly (PBS included, seriously no holds barred). You can't reason with or threaten these people because this is the exact reaction they want.

There is no moral crusade, it is as they say "for the lulz". They don't care who they hurt because they just want attention and negative attention is the easiest to get. That and they think they ARE the internet.

I don't own a ps3 so it doesn't really effect me but I sincerely hope this is a bluff or they back down because it is badly effecting gamers

Despite a lot of things Sony and the PS3 are bagged about, if Sony or PS3 go down for good like the hackers are trying to do it will screw up the gaming industry for a while.
