It harms the gameplay, the economy, the competitiveness and highscores.
I'm sorry, but MMORPG's aren't competitive. The skill cap is way, WAY too low. Especially in WoW's case.
To play a "fixed" MMORPG experience try Progress Quest.
http://progressquest.com/ - The world's first (and best) 0-player game.
I'm a little curious as to what makes the PvP part of MMOs and COs not competitive. Especially when some games actually hold monthly tournaments and don't rely on gear in high level PvP.
Humm....If i hit 80 on wow and enter PvP i will get ripped by level 80s with 70k HP while i have 30 or 20k
In starcraft or CS 1.6 i enter i game and i get ripped because im bad, do you understand? NO? ok
Competitive games in my book are the ones that face you off against a person with non of that i have more items BS WoW has kinda like chess how would you feel if chess would give you an extra queen when ever you beat 5 people, ya....
If you want me to prove my point, I have played wow and it has come to my attention that the only "skill" aspect of the game is being able to map all your keys, as a rogue i am able to kill anyone who is not a counter to my class while it being impossible to kill anyone who IS a counter to my class unless they panic and click 3 instead of 5 or something.
But ya MMOs are not competitive i bet if i made a bot with if commands e.g if -50% hp use pot etc i could send in my bot to fight and get the same results as if i was fighting myself.
And also to people saying im taking peoples quest mobs your funny if i get reported 2 or 3 times admin comes bans me so ya its not me stealing from people its rather me hiding from people.
