half-life 2: episode 3, who wants to see it?

seriously i was very dissapointed in valve when i heard they dropped the franchise when they were one game away (and not even 1 game it was like a fraction of a game) and they drop the franchise to go for the left 4 dead series. i never really played the series of half life until recently and i can see why people loved it so much but why valve? why do you not let us see what happens especially when half life 2 episode 2 gave so little closure? post a comment to this telling whether or not you would want to see valve release half life 2: episode 3

They haven't dropped it for L4D2, don't you read the other threads? No offence, OP, but this has been done to death. There are several teams in Valve working on different projects, they're still doing Episode 3, but with another team. Stop complaining please, they'll release it when it's good and ready.

Not a massive fan of the series but I doubt they would drop it for Left 4 Dead. Although L4d is a great game.

Half-Life is one of the biggest Shooter Series of all time. They wouldn't be that stupid to replace it with L4D2.

Does anyone think that Episode 3 will come to PS3? I don't play many games on PC and after playing the Orange Box, I really REALLY hope they give it a PS3 release.

Well, Valve has different teams working on different games, and seeing how big a project HL:E3 is, it's not like L4D2 is going to take up much time, all they really have to do is make new characters and maps, the engine is the same, the AI Director is getting an upgrade, it is not that hard, and Valve would never drop the Half-Life series without completing it, because they care about their fans, and htye know that if they don't deliver.. we will find them...

We know Episode 3 will eventually come out, nobody is doubting that. I am more curious to see how they plan to top The Orange Box though. Portal 2 is a strong possibility (as is rebuying Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 AGAIN 9_9). I could see some sort of massive content expansion for TF2 as well, although fans will be pretty angry if they have to pay for it, considering all the free content they have gotten so far.

I doubt it. Valve doesn't like developing for the PS3, and they probably won't let an outside company develop the game.

I didn't insult it, read the posts before you decide to critique. I said I found it to be over-rated, which is not the same as insulting it. Saying that it is over-rated refers to the fact that the hype surrounding this series is not justified. Also, seeing as my post was never geared towards you, replying in the first place is a fan-boy move.
