The "surprise" will be that there is no Half Life 2 Episode 3.

I think everyone's mixed up about this; they've cancelled the Portal 2 stuff to do a surprise for Portal 2 at a different time.

That's how I've understood the announcement at any rate.

This is is the third time someone has done this. Every time Valve twitches in any direction that's not Portal or L4D people automatically think "HL2E3 IS COMING WOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!111".

Since when did vapourware make people this crazy?
