I really hope this 'surprise' is Episode 3 (Or just Half Life 3) simply because it will be nice to not have every single person complain about it whenever Valve announces something.
However, I'd also really like to see a completely new IP from Valve, considering we haven't seen anything 'new' from them since the release of L4D1.

Episode 3? You're a hopeful one aren't you? It's probably another left 4 dead. Or maybe they're "enhancing" the truth and it will be Portal 2 anyway. Episode 3 is a lie... like the cake.

Very nicely phrased. I think there's equal chances of getting Episode 3, a cake, or a zombie. All are good, but I think I would go for the new half life.PurpleSky said:

Anyhow, I suspected for quite a while that Valve would release at least some new information about Episode 3 at E3 this year. If this is it then great, if not, then I'm happy to wait, because I know that if it's a long time in development it's more likely to be a great game than something rushed out to please the fans.
