Well, hmm. It's an interesting topic, that's for sure. And I have to agree to a point.I didn't like Halo 3, because I thought it was extremely short and not as....I guess well thought out as the previous games. Out of the trilogy my favorite by far was Halo 2. The ability to play from the Arbiter's (spelling?)POV was one of the best things about it.

Is Halo 3 the worst game ever made? No, not by far. Is it the best? No. But, I think it does fall on the "better than most" side of the fence.

As to the original poster, you're vocabulary is excellent. And that's not a flame, it's true. HOWEVER, after reading your post, and your subsequent replies, I have to say...you read a lot like Yahtzee and Zero Puncuation.

If it only had a Epic Thrill to it. Maybe at least one magor war thing fighting through thousands of brutes and bullets flying everywhere. Anyone here got a thrill from playing it on legendary?

The Something Awful review [http://www.somethingawful.com/d/game-reviews/halo-3-review.php?page=1] pretty much said all the same stuff. That was...oh, more than four months ago now, I guess. And actually, Yahtzee pretty much covered it [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/2304-Zero-Punctuation-Halo-3] around that time as well.

So, you know, if it did need to be said, it's already been said repeatedly.
Wow that review was almost designed to piss people off. I LoL'd.

Back to the thread.

OP.
You're not the only one who hates Halo. There's a ton of people out there who legitimately hate halo (excluding PS3/PC die-hards). Labeling your topic "Halo 3--because this needs to be said" isn't going to strike a chord with a lot of Halo players. People who love Halo 3 have probably seen the same crap over and over on other forums. Halo players are not all ignorant prepubescent kids.
If you don't like Halo 3, thats fine, but please stop creating these threads. I entered this forum to get away from this kind of stuff.

OK, knock off the Halo 3 bashing a quarter year after it's been released. All the bile has been released in the past months, and your snarling has become somewhat redundant. And don't accuse those whose opinion differs from yours is an idiot, because that's merely yours. So go shoot some grunts, vent all that anger, before you post amongst us.

If you really wanted to say this, it could have been done a long time ago. Now it's just flamebait.

Maybe a better title for the thread would have been "Halo 3: Because I love controversy"

Sparkly Weasel, out.

i mainly play it for the things you can do in forge and theatre, its fun making sadistic racing tracks, or trying to make balanced bases on the smaller maps.
i rarely touch the campaign, simply because i found it less fun than halo1's. the huge 3 way fights on the last level in particular were fun to just jump into. but this installement rarely has them its either covenant or flood. and in the one level where they mix, the floods on your side. the vehicle missions are great, its just i liked all the flying you could do in halo 2, this one has only one flying bit in it, and on the harder difficultys its ridiculously hard. the multiplayer is fun with friends, and the achievements are hard enough to feel awesome for getting them legitimately, but the fun just starts to wear off, except when unique things happen in games and you have fun.
i still find call of duty 4 a better game, i actually have an urge to play the campaign again, and the multiplayer gives you such an adrenaline rush it never gets old.

all in all i felt that halo 3 is more of a casual game to be enjoyed with mates doing stupid things, rather than a game to play when you want a more "proffensional" feeling.

I'm almost certainly wrong since there's been so much said about halo 3 that there can be no more original comments, but the multiplayer was identical to halo 2. Indeed the real problem to my mind of halo 3 was that it was amazingly cheap. Had the campaign been epic then it would have been reasonable, had the MP been revolutionary then it would have been reasonable, but as it was the game just didn't live up to the hype, hence the proliferation of threads. Really though, has any game on this generation of consoles fulfilled its promise?

But as for the review i can tell 3 things from it.
1 you never played the hard settings.
2 your a fanboy.
3 you dont have live.
4 you want to piss people off.

Most importantly it does not "need to be said" BECAUSE ITS BEEN SAID OVER A MILLION TIMES!
Since I've only owned it for about three days I've only had time to get fairly far on Heroic, after beating Normal. But the thing is, Normal difficulty is just that--NORMAL. It shouldn't be too easy, it shouldn't be too hard. And while there were parts that were fairly difficult, the point I was making was that the Brutes are a lot easier to deal with than the Elites, because they are infinately more predictable, and also lack a lot of the nifty things that the Elites could throw at you.

I don't see how I am a fanboy, considering I don't think I support anything specifically in the review. If I was a fanboy, wouldn't I absolutely LOVE Halo 3 a whole huggy bunch? I mean, I did mention that I liked Halo 1 and 2--Oh my god! I actually liked other games in the series!? Oh no! Clearly, I *am* a fanboy. Gee. I should just kill myself, now shouldn't I?

As for my not having live, you are right. I don't have life. However, I'm not that upset because from all I've seen of Live, it's populated by a bunch of assholes who do nothing *but* play Halo 3 from dusk till dawn, thus transforming themselves into a bunch of retarded, racist Halo freaks who can kill you with anything they are holding without any effort because they have memorized every map everywhere everyway. Sorry about not including that aspect into my review, but I didn't want to be COMPLETELY negative.

Now, do I want to piss people off? Well, that depends. I want to piss *stupid* people off.

Because I hate them.

A lot.

Your ignorance is painful.
Knock this shit off, no one care about how you dislike him or about the other side of said argument. Anyways...

Hey, Halo 1 was good.
Yes it was, and sorry I accidentally reported you, the report button looks exactly the same as the damn quote button, it's confusing sometimes.

EDIT: end this thread, too many like this have been locked before for obvious reasons, this is flame bait.

Halo 3 is a disappointment, and im saddened to see grown men sucking the teat of Cortana without realizing that its all covered in hair. As for all you retards that fuck the game disc during your "me-time", try to cut yourself next time, and maybe it'll open your eyes. Also, whoever bought the Heroic map pack is a twaddling idiot b-c it'll be free within the next month more than likely. Morooooooooooooooooooons.

I had the following experience whit Halo 3.
It was OK, and I was trying the online game play, but i just could not care for it, because FPS on a console just wont work for me i guess.

So, I bought halo 3 and finished, and then bought Half life 2 orange box a few days after. (around the same time they got released)
And I was amazed on how much more i was enjoying HL2.

now, I can hear some think, well, you might be more of a HL series fan?
Then i say: "o Rly?"
I have Halo 1 , 2 and 3, (big fan of the halo 1 CE p.C gameplay) but i have only played the 1st lvl of HL one and the HL 2 series
And now playing halo 3, i am wondering indeed as well, (like Manny Manny more) wear are these high ratings coming from???
The game was "good" but not something i would give a 9, because i have already forgotten about 7/10'th of the game story and game play.

My experience whit Portal is overshadowing Halo 3.
Any who played Portal next to Halo 3? (I did)
See if this might be a reason who ppl realising the Truth.

PS. Any one who feels that Halo / Bungie jsut wanted to make monny?
I know, lets make a P.C version of halo 2.
Microsoft: Can you make it "vista" only, it selling really shitty ATM and we need it"
Bungie: "KK NP, giev gold plx"
Also, i can bet my 8 ball that they are gonna make a P.C version in the coming year of 2008 / 2009, and it will have:
Or A, new "ending" wear you will see Master chiefs face (ZOMG BUY)
Or B, New maps for multiplayer
Or C, New Single player lvl.. just one, whit some boss battle like gears of war.
O wait, Bungie left Microsoft or something right? Horay, NO more crappy money grabbing (maybe)

I think people dislike Halo3 because Campaign is just a more open shinier version of Halo1 and Multi-player is just shinier with more weapons and such than Halo2. disliking Halo 3 for that is like pissing on Frosted Flakes for not changing or improving enough from Corn Flakes.
