Halo 3: ODST Post E3 gameplay reveal.

After seeing ODST in action and watching the new trailer on Xbox Live I am more excited for this game then ever. I already like the two new weapons (A silenced SMG with zoom and a silenced pistol with a zoom) and the new "Fireteam" mode has me really excited. One might say that it is just a Horde mode clone but I'm not complaining I've wanted a mode like this since Gears 2 came out. The single-player also looks pretty good from what I've seen so I'm optimistic.
In fact I kind of wish they would delay this and turn it into a whole game instead of just an expansion complete with an ODST only Competitive multiplayer mode instead of including Halo 3's regular multiplayer.

So what do you think of ODST so far?

P.S. If you go to ign and look at screenshot 22 the Red Plasma Rifle is back too.

I'm probably going to preorder the collector's edition, too, mainly because it comes with a game and controller for only $99.

I liked the gameplay they showed at E3. I've neevr been the biggest Halo fan, and I don't own Halo 3, although I've played with when hanging out with friends. This looks really good, especially in the way that they tell the story, which I think can lead to a lot of variety in the gameplay, as while you are traveling down a linear path, so it can't be too out of place, seeing a clue object can transport you to a whole new area. The potential for this can be very good, and I'm excited to see what they do with it.

Reach doesn't excite me because I don't know anything about it, and just being Halo doesn't cut it for me. Until I see something, I couldn't care less about that game.

It kind of does. I just hope that theirs more than just two new weapons cause I just saw more of the same in the trailer. Granted these are the first real gameplay trailers. Just please let it be better than Halo 3s campaign.

Wow, there hasn't been a legitimate hate post yet, this is a very good thing, maybe this means *fingers crossed, hold mimiture cricifix and pray to god* that the whole Halo Hate thing is blowing over.... I sure hope so.

Anyway, as for the game itself, looks kinda fun. Might give it a whirl at some point.

Meh, Bungie doesn't hold the best track record so I won't hold my breath.

The only game company I will hold my breath for is Bioware.
