They have not really released a lot of information about the new halo, but we know the basic things. like how they are incorporating stealth in halo 3. And how you don't play a masterchief any more. Any thoughts or feelings about the new halo?

At this point in time, we know nothing other than:

-New, silenced weapons
-You play as an ODST; no more Tanking
-Stealth
-players get Recon armour for buying it
-All halo 3 maps included

Bungie really likes to maintain secrecy and mystery around their games, which is a big reason why so many people try and figure these things out.

Personally, I'll likely get it, but I want to see how it turns out first before I make any decisions on pre-ordering or just waiting until the hubbub is over.

I agree with Chickenlittle, so far Bungies secrecy is making this all the more worthwhile to find out.

I just want to be able to do hardcore sniping, and getting some reward for killing the leaders when/if they are out in the open(snipe). Lay traps, grab vital postions for small scale firefights. Enemies weakened a little bit for added realism...Need to scounge for food/water/shelter. Scouring Ammo, must be in there.
Stealth must be big,

Stealth equipment like:
Tranquilzier darts
Hologram projecter to s 5-10 second scale, but your must take an image of a non damaged soldier.
Deployable/set-upable traps
I dunno some leveling system would be nice.
Fixing weapons
Silencing bubble, sound can't get out, but bullet can fly from it.

Stuff you would do:
Finding straggler USNC soldiers etc.
Creating a stealth team, or a team with different members which incoporate such abilities like:
Trap disarming/arming
Demolitions expert
Rifleman
Survivalist
Inventer/electrictionist-fixes stuff
Technology expert, has machines that can help recon etc.
Super Stealth soldier

If it included some unique elements like that, could be alot of fun. Hope its open world.

I still think they'll make a very good game. It'll feel a little different to what Halo normally feels like and some veteran Halo players are going to be annoyed by that, but it still should be very good. Too little info yet to make a really good picture of what its going to be really like though

That's irrelevant. You should see the forums on Bungie's website. There's so much speculation and apparent "facts" you'll want to claw your eyes out.

@ Marv: I'm fairly certain there won't be much in terms of party creation, RPG style. Personally, I'm expecting the player to fight and stealth from location to location with the occasional helping hand.

Hence why I'm trying to avoid most of the speculation. (Obviously it's impossible to avoid it all). I'll make an informed decision once more actual info comes out

Very good, very good. That's a great strategy.

Soooo...care for some speculation?

Stealth in a game such as Halo would be a strange thing, but personally i would welcome the idea,
just to see that Master Chief wasn't the only guy who did ANYTHING but die would be good.
Stealth would be awesome for a game like this.

Halo 3 is the only shooter that kept me occupied for months, unlike every other shooter that I have gotten recently. I hope this game can keep my interest for that long.

Play the first Halo. No online multiplayer, but the Campaign has the best gameplay and replayability out of the three.

I don't care about online multiplayer, and I have already played the first Halo.

OK, then, never mind. I tried.

It would be nice to see the halo universe from the eyes of something other than a walking tank with infinite ammo. I'll probably get it, but I'll wait for some more info before I pre-order.

It'll be a great game, that will totally alienate the people who bought Halo. Tactics? Cover? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHh ahh jebus.

Actually to be fair i've been playing Halo 3 and I've needed to use cover and kite a few times.

It sounds good from what Ive heard. Its halo, but your one of those guys that you take weapons from. Which means you dont get to bully the 8 foot tall brutes anymore, and have to hide in the shadows to avoid getting stomped on.

It sounds like it will work and it has the familiarity of halo stamped onto it so it will do just fine.
Hopefully it will fill that single player gap thats been in my heart since I played Halo 3.

It's essentially the same thing. IMO, a lot of people are going to buy it just for Recon.
