Halo 3 :what do you call the tiny flood?

Spores is the actual term I believe. I tend to abbreviate to "little fuckers".

The official term for them, used in all Halo media (novels, graphic novels, games, Bungie website, etc.) is Infection forms, or Pure Flood as this is their true form. The larger ones with weapons are called Combat forms, and are the effect of an Infection form taking over a host's body. The fat explosive ones are Carrier forms which are created when you leave a Combat form for too long and it evolves to become an incubator, containing more Infection Forms. Simple really.

EDIT: When fighting them I usually call them little bastards, just as I call the flying Drones of the Covenant 'buggers'.

Pure Form Flood are the new ones in Halo 3; stalkers, ranged forms, and drinol or tank form. Pure because they are simply a mass of Flood Super Cells with a reconfigurable calcium skeleton.

Infection forms are more like viral reproducers than the true form of the Flood.

But headcrabs are from Half Life and Facehuggers are from the Alien films.

The Pure flood are those three types that you see that aren't bodies of a dead person, The Tanks, the Ranged, and the Stealth forms.. I especially hate the Ranged..oh well, nothing a blast of Needles wont fix. Tanks and Stealth are susceptible to being sworded in the FACE!

I call the Covenant Drones "Stop fucking moving and let me hit you!"

ACTUAL NAME FROM DESIGNERS> they are called flugs...i have no idea in christ why there called that...but they are.
