Halo 4 could It Happen ?

Well, it would certainly be a precious dream for many, perhaps for too many, if not however rather obnoxious, as any idea that Bungie could produce would obviously be just a way of elongating the story. Not that I have anything wrong with it, but another major problem relies in the weaponry. I'm only saying this because they've mostly covered all possible aspects of weaponry they can cover. Although knowing Bungie, they'll probably come up with something, like a knife shooting gun. What I'd like to say is that Bungie being a business must always aim for it's own benefit, and since Halo has proven profitable to the legions of fans it has created, they are in the total right to make another sequel, if however they could venture on something new.

Bungie isn't doing Halo Wars...Ensemble Studios is...and yes its Online, Co-Op and Competitive I believe...

Personally, I'd like to see another game in the Halo-verse. Halo 3 as an individual game may have been weak storywise, but if you play all three games in order and piece the story together to make the entire story arc, it's great.

Then impression I got at the end of Halo 3 was that the storyline with the covenant and the halo rings was finished but because of them show Master Chief and Cortana stranded in space after the credits left open that Master Chief would come back in another game but with a totally different storyline. So no Halo 4 but I can definatly see Master Chief appearing again sometime in the future.

Bungie's not making Halo 4, but it's going to be set in the Halo universe. All you have to do is look at recent events.

Bungie has broken from Microsoft and also stated that Halo 3 was the end of the trilogy that started with Halo. However, Microsoft owns the rights to the Halo franchise, so Bungie has to keep working with them if they want to milk their cash cow. I doubt it will be Marathon though. It's not really part of the Halo universe, and if Bungie introduces it into the Halo franchise, they just lost the only other thing they're famous for to Microsoft. Likewise, whatever it is is probably lukewarm enough to make Microsoft feel that it's not strong enough to reveal at this year's E3 (which means it's weeeeeak), lest it be over-shadowed by Resident Evil, Gears of War, Fallout and Fable. If it were "Halo 4" it would be fine, you could slide it in between Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 5 quite nicely.

Look at the current events you just stated they cut it to make the conference 120min instead of 150min and its getting a dedicated event. (Besides hasn't E3 been weeeeeak lately anyway)

there will not be a halo 4 developed by Bungie. They have said that they want to wash their hands of the franchise and are going to work on bringing marathon to the next gen as soon as halo wars is over. They also don't own it but they do own marathon.

I don't think there will be a Halo 4, a continuation of the Master Chief's journey. That being said, there is a possibility that they could be working on something in the Halo universe. Which is cool.

No, there will be no Halo 4. Master Chief and the Arbiter killed the Covenant, and anyone would know that if they paid attention to the story, not the mindless violence. And don't pull the "Halo wars is the 4th game in the series so it is halo 4 trick on me." Halo wars isn't even made by Bungie Studios, Instead it's made by Ensemble Studios. Bungie and Microsoft gave them the rights to Halo. And lets not forget Bungie and Microsoft split.
