Well, I don't know how old this thread in particular is, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

Honestly, the Halo franchise has just started. People not liking it is never going to stop developers from feeding their kids and families. However, you gotta admit, the sheer staggering amount of work that is done on the multiplayer on Halo 3 and just how involved Bungie are with their fanbase makes you think that the games can only go upward. And a good thing too, maybe now the prior haters of the game will start liking it too and we'll all be a huge loving family and the wars and famine would end.
Sadly not. People are shit.

Halo is always going to be just a trilogy in my eyes. Yes there are spin offs but I don't really consider them part of the grand Halo title, just what they are... spin offs. I love the Halo Trilogy and I want it kept that way. I agre with Quack though, the fans wanted the spin offs let them have them if they want.

I think it depends on how ODST is received. If it goes down as badly as halo wars then it may die but if it's a success...

The trilogy as a whole is finished, although there is a fifth and sixth Halo game coming soon. Namely, Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach, and that's just to tie the story holes.
I've kindof thought that Halo Reach thing was going to be the fourth one. I am kind of curious just to see what it looks like, though I haven't really played Halo for awhile. I don't know, something about the game has just become boring. I don't know why, I am just not entertained playing it.
