I'm not conforming to a language that spell school like that when it sounds like Shcool.
I write it how I hear it so :p.

You hear school as 'shcool'? Are you Dutch?

has anyone noticed no matter what game it is you have to follow the orders of your "Superiors" no matter how stupid

kinda makes you think
I don't know about you, but there are a few games that don't follow that.

OT: MC is only evil in the sense that he is not morally perfect. However, since almost every human with a conscience(sp?) suffers from this, you could forgive MC when you consider he is fighting to save all sentient life in the galaxy.

Your correct, the Spartans were only crested to keep humanity together. The Spartans main job was to put down any insurrection or separatist movement.

What, you mean like real life?
Only slaves follow orders...

It's nothing approaching a coincidence that my battle cry when I'm playing HALO is:

"I'm an inhuman genocidal monster, wee-hee-hee!"

Nope, soldiers do to.
Then the only reasonable conclusion is that Soldiers=Slaves... Yes, I don't like the military.

Ahem... I think you mean "there and their".
THANK YOU!
And good first post. And I'm glad I was wrong about assuming that you were just going to mindlessly bash on Halo.

Danny... you're avatar says "power to the peaceful"
Keep arguing for blind obedience in military operations. It's making my day.
And also have you noticed in real life, you can do anything you want within the bounds of physics? Called "free will". Amazing. Almost enough to make one eschew large, controlling groups - unless, of course, you're in charge.

Onward from mocking people:
The UEG are obviously following the "sacrifice of the one for the good of the whole" philosophy. And Halo is a game I would not expect to contain philosophy. But anyway, you're analysis is probably correct. That makes Halo much more awesome - evil > good in the badassery factor.

You know humanities amorality is a clever theme put in and yes Masterchief does strike me as the kind of guy who does what he's told usually. But he does surprise me when he suddenly acts on initiative and especially when he is able to befriend his former enemies.

EDIT: by the way why did you say 'Halo Masterchief' as if there is a Masterchief who isn't associated with Halo? Did you think we wouldn't know who you are talking about?
To be fair there is the "masterchef" from eat lead...

The real mystery is people find Master Chief sufficiently interesting as a character to explore this stuff. He is not the worst character ever to grace video games, but barring his martial prowess, he is a patriotic warrior, who answers to patriotic warriors, he has no interesting traits to develop.

Master Chief isn't evil, just misunderstood. Its not his fault he us a psycho killing machine who would snap you in half for giving him a funny look. And besides, the rebels deserve it and you know it. Spartans are well justified in killing both rebels and aliens because they both suck.

Then Section 3 (of the ONI) created the top secret Spartan-III project, where they did have about 300 per company.
