It's so bad I'm no longer angry at him. I just pity him.

Well Master Chief is a soldier. Soldiers follow orders. If he didn't follow orders, boom, court martial and execution/longggg jail time. That's the way it goes. You can't have an army if your soldiers don't follow their orders.

The rebels were terrorists. Sure, their goal was good, trying to have a lil more freedom. But they planted bombs and killed civilians. I believe in Contact Harvest they blew apart a huge ship with thousands of passengers. It's just like today and now with the war in Afghanistan. 9/11, terrorists attack the WTC. Shortly after, America goes and stomps all over them and their country. *shrugs* it's eye for an eye pretty much.

Okay first off the insurrectionists were fabricating bombs, holding civilians hostage and were essentially being terrorists. Also the UNSC never sided with the Covenant, except for the Elite Separatists during the events of Halo 3. As for the whole "mindless minion" thing, if people in an army did whatever the hell they wanted, there would be no army. Humanity would have been destroyed when The Covenant marched in if all the marines were at vacation resorts. I really don't see how the UNSC or the Chief are evil.
