Halo named Greatest Game Franchise by Guinness

When I first saw this thread title, I thought briefly that Halo was being named the greatest game franchise by Guinness, the beer company.

Yes I disagree with every spot on that list...it is so bad it's not worth getting mad over because no one is going to take it seriously.

But how is it a franchise if it only has 1 game?

There was an "original" Runescape, as well as the modern one everyone is more familiar with.

They say "World of Warcraft", refusing to acknowledge the rest of the franchise like 90% of the people playing the game. That bakes my biscuits, but other than that, nothing worth throwing up a fuss over.

I agree. Whilst Half Life is by all means a brilliant fps, working despite, or more likely because of its silent protagonist, so is Halo.

Allow me to be painfully frank for a moment, if Valve really cared about gamers more than money like so many people wish to believe, where the hell is Episode 3?
At least Bungie releases their bloody games.

Perhaps I don't agree with Halo being the number one game franchise, but I can see why it was voted there, I might even say it deserves the spot.
