I don't like the Guard ability during CTF...
it slows the game down for both sides, and a team that spams it is almost impossible to take down.
I wish the AR did a tiny bit more damage, and the DMR had a little more ammo.
Other than that, I love the beta so far, and can't wait to try the full game!

I don't usually like free for all style gametypes, but I just played a round of Juggernaut, and man is that mode fun. Being the Juggernaut and seeing all those lovely medals at the bottom of the screen is awesome. As is the announcer saying 'triple kill, overkill, killing spree, hammer spree, killtacular, immovable object, dream crusher, killimanjaro!'
Now i'm quite a fan of Halo and that theory makes no sense. Reach was destroyed before the events of Halo:CE. They later return to Reach in the novel First Strike and find a surviving group of sparten II's who managed to survive on the small section of the planet left (shant say why. Spoliers.) They then proceed to escape with what ever the covenant wanted from the planet, it's logical to presume that the 5-10 years that pass would have led to the covenent glassing what was left of the planet. From a canon point of view the theory has no weight... but it does seem that Halo:Reach is taking a step away from the canon with the Sparten III's being around during the fall of Reach, they are not mentioned in the books. At all which seems strange to me as it would have made sense for Noble team to have been a part of the reactor defense.SteelStallion said:

On the Bungie website it says that Invasion will be released on the 7th (Tomorrow) but they also say that it's subject to change if stuff isn't working (which since one of their servers caught fire, is entirely possible)Armored Prayer said:
In regards to the beta gameplay, my one big complaint is that the hammer's lunge has waaaay too long a range...it's ridiculous...

And yes the hammer does have a ridiculously long range. Its even worse in Covy slayer since you can roll into them and then lunge.
The same for the Energy Sword, but with enough skill (like me) you can dodge roll away from it.Armored Prayer said:
Invasion is awesome!! I might have made someone ragequit by spartan laser-ing them when they were a foot away from the goal with the core though... Actually, team spartan won because of that, so I'm happy with it!
Love the avy, but I got to say I don't like Invasion that much. Arena is better, at least to me. Again, I'm not trying to insult you, but Invasion really sucks.J03bot said:

Really? If you get past the first objective on offence, I keep seeing the elites win. The combination of evade, energy sword and plasma repeater as gladiator seems to work quite well. Plus you get a long string of people getting the core, carrying it 2-3 steps and dying. Those 2-3 steps per person work quite well. Not as well as if 2 people decided to flank the spartans and destroy the scorpion more quickly, but quite well.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know when the Beta ends? I'm very interested in getting into it and playing the beta, but I probably won't order Halo ODST if it's over in like, three days or so.

Hearing Revenge and Killjoy one right after the other makes me smile every time.
Frak renting it; Gamefly will take too long. I'll just buy it personally. It's not much on Amazon and its multiplayer online could be fun, too.Irridium said:
