ZOMG SPACESHIPS.
Seriously, for those again who have been watching E3, Halo: Reach gameplay was given of the campaign.
UPDATED: Thank you to Big Max for supplying the full Video.
It starts off with the player and 3 other members of the Delta team heading towards a UNSC base which is being assaulted by the Covenant, the team makes it through, blah blah blah, new weapon is shown, too bad they forgot to shoot it.
Anyway, there is a new assassination, I don't know if you have to be sprinting to do it, but it was still awesome. The spartan does a zorro slice on the back of an Elite before jamming his knife into it's head.
They make it to a spaceship and Noble 6 has to get into the spaceship and fly to defend this UNSC ship thing. Regardless, you actually get to fly in space now, Hurrah! The new "Saber" Vehicle is pretty cool, a nice touch, seems too much like a Star Wars Battlefront 2 copy + Paste though, pretty much the same Idea. I'm actually hoping they add another Multiplayer mode with this in it, that would be cool.
And that was all that was really shown, for those wondering, the Armour Ability was sprint, looks like you will have no choice over them in campaign, though from a bit of gameplay, it looked like Elites got Armour Lock?
I dunno, anyway, Excited? Dissapointed? Share your views.
Me? I'm excited for this game, I love Halo because it is just so Unreal, it's a pretty core FPS, good for all players. Hoping they add other vehicle gimmicks and stuff like this.
MOAR: The Firefight multiplayer mode Bungie introduced in Halo 3: ODST is back in Halo: Reach, and it's looking to be even crazier (and more flexible) than its predecessor. At a special preview event at E3 2010, Microsoft and Bungie gave us a look at the new and improved Firefight. Here's what's new.
First off, you'll get the full matchmaking experience here, unlike in ODST. You'll be able to customize your matches to your heart's content - weapons, maps, game durations and enemy behavior will all be tweakable.
There are multiple game types this time around, too. Default is the most general of the lot. It's a one-set match that's designed to be shorter and more casual. Pop in, pop out, go eat a steak. Classic mode is just what you played in ODST. You know, because it's already classic. Generator Defense is also a mode in Firefight now (you remember this gametype from the Reach beta that ran last month), and a newcomer called Rocket Fight sounds like it could become a new favorite. This mode is just you, your buddies, armor abilities, and an infinite supply of rockets. Yeah, that just happened.
Again, thanks to Big Max
Also, new armour ability: It's a hybrid of the Bubble Shield and Regenerator from Halo 3.
You charge it up and drop it, Heals and shields you.
Also, 2 new weapons, Concussion Rifle, haven't seen it in action yet but it's an AoE weapon of some kind.
Also this weapon that has a Hammer of Dawn effect from Gears, calls in an airstrike instead though.
