Helz ya SPACE MARINES! ACTUALLY IN SPACE! but really the starfighter section looks wicked fun.

the only conceivable way it could get any better is if there is a section where you get to fight in space without a ship, having to fight off waves of enemies in zero gee. with jet packs. similar in concept to the Dead Space zero gee segments. but with actual space marines. In space.

You know, I've actually yet to see a game do Zero Gravity properly yet, such a shame.

Though I do agree with you, Halo: Reach should have an epic non-vehicle space battle.

Something that I need to nit-pick about...

So the Saber is a prototype as said, but then why are there so many? I would much rather have the others (NPCs) have longswords instead. It would make more sense and it would make me feel more of a badass for having the "cool" ship.

Longswords? Unless it's from the Halo books, I haven't heard of them. :/

Apparently Shattered Horizons is just that. And that's actually the only combat you do. Dunno if its good though, I can't run it :p

Ah, I'll try to fill you in. Longswords are the UNSC's basic space fighters. Remember the ship you left the Halo in Halo:CE? Yah, that was a longsword.

A longsword is also seen crashing into a canyon in the Halo 3 level "the ark" at the beginning of a vehicle section and a brief time later you come across its mostly intact wreckage.
Also a squadron of longswords is seen attacking the prophet of truths flagship immediately after the player destroys the massive AAA gun and Hood sends the ships in.

A pair of the fighters are seen escorting the Pillar Of Autumn in the very first scene of Halo CE

Looks amazing! I normally don't like deciding to buy games this far from release. But I might have to make an exception here.

I love that they've retained the Firefight mode. It was one of the best aspects of ODST.

You know what's funny? I thought of the longsword in Halo:CE before I thought of the ones in Halo 2 or 3. Funny huh?

I like how when they knock the tanks off the grunts, they are propelled into the air.

Reach is the center for milatary expirementation and production, its where the spartans were made. So having an excess of prototypes would be rather natural.

Anybody noticed that one particular article [http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/digital/gaming/sneak-peak-of-halo-reach?src=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+pm/latest+(PopularMechanics.com+-+Latest+Content)] mentions that Halo: Reach will have:

a fully-featured level-editor that's so powerful, Bungie developers used it to create a few of the maps that will come with the game.
A mistake? Poor source?

By God I hope not.

That actually is a fuel rod cannon, some guys found it in the beta code a while back.

Yes, but the one spartan is worth an entire battle group. So, having a a ship that is like a spartan must cost a pretty penny...

Those are spartan II's, Spartan III's, AKA the spartans in Halo: Reach need battle groups to aid them, the Sabres might cost alot, but not THAT much, just a powerful ship.

Ah, but these Spartan III's are wearing the same Mjolnir armour that the S2's wore (In the books they wore cheaper SPI armor, so we have to assume that these S3's are special in some way.). Thats the expensive bit.

That means nothing. Cost is still cost. And since a spartan II (the one with the shield armor) costs as much as an entire battle group, I can't imagine a ship, a very decent size ship by the way, costing anything LESS than a spartan II. So I assume 2 battle groups.

Here's hoping they revolusionise flight sims like they did FPSs. Not likely,.
I would find it very unlikely, since they only at the most revoluTIONized console FPS's. Also, I'm hoping you meant this as an ironic post, because I found it hilarious.
