Here's hoping they revolusionise flight sims like they did FPSs. Not likely,.
I would find it very unlikely, since they only at the most revoluTIONized console FPS's. Also, I'm hoping you meant this as an ironic post, because I found it hilarious.
First and foremost, grammar nazi. Second, the "not likely" thing kind of... You know what, fuck it, I'm not getting in a flame war.

the facts that it has starships makes it all the better seriously it makes me want the game more and more. (the biggest problem is that they got space combat wrong). and the fact that it has firefight as well. this makes it like Halo mashed into one and on crack lol

You know what would be weird? Playing the games in order. Halo Reach, Halo Wars Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, and ODST (or something like that)
The order (I'm assuming by events) would be Halo Wars, Halo: Reach, 1, 2, Halo: ODST and then Halo 3.

If that was the order you were looking for.

that would be cool just see the graphics jump from Reach to HaloCE would be wacky.
and for those who care its: Halo Wars, Halo Reach, Halo 1, Halo 2, ODST (in the middle of 2), Halo 3

Helz ya SPACE MARINES! ACTUALLY IN SPACE! but really the starfighter section looks wicked fun.

the only conceivable way it could get any better is if there is a section where you get to fight in space without a ship, having to fight off waves of enemies in zero gee. with jet packs. similar in concept to the Dead Space zero gee segments. but with actual space marines. In space.
Space marines? Since when?
Technically, the UNSC main fighting infantry is marines. And they are in space. Hence the title Space marines.

I'm very sorry if I offended you. I mean that sincerely. I did not come on this thread to bash Halo. I was just pointing out that a scripted space flight section in an FPS will not now or ever revolutionize the flight simulator genre. I do hope we are talking about the same genre here, the one with the 100 dollar controllers with 30 buttons and the hyper realistic controls and gameplay, hence the "simulator" part. It's much like calling MarioKart a racing simulator. It's a fun game no doubt, but a simulator?

Ah, I see. No, wasn't offended, I just didn't want to take it any farther simply because you might be trolling.

And I'm not sure what else to call the casual flight games out there. I thought they were called flight sims. And I don't honestly expect it to revolutionize flight games.

I am so excited for Halo Reach, to hell with all of the haters Reach looks like it might just be the greatest end all be all Halo experience this console generation! I've got the Standard version locked down on Preorder. I just need to come up with some extra money so I can upgrade to the Legendary edition and I will be set(as far as Halo goes anyway)

Something that I need to nit-pick about...

So the Saber is a prototype as said, but then why are there so many? I would much rather have the others (NPCs) have longswords instead. It would make more sense and it would make me feel more of a badass for having the "cool" ship.
Reach is the center for milatary expirementation and production, its where the spartans were made. So having an excess of prototypes would be rather natural.
Yes, but the one spartan is worth an entire battle group. So, having a a ship that is like a spartan must cost a pretty penny...
Those are spartan II's, Spartan III's, AKA the spartans in Halo: Reach need battle groups to aid them, the Sabres might cost alot, but not THAT much, just a powerful ship.
Well in the long run Spartan IIIs are the exact same as Spartan IIs. The only difference was the fact that Spartan IIIs had the cheaper, crappier SPI armor which was weaker, but provided the Human version of active camo. The Spartan IIIs in Halo reach are actually equipped with Mjolnir Mk V armor (I.E. Halo:CE armor) and thus are equal to Spartan IIs.

Pictures, because they make everything better.

No doubt it will be a useful weapon during the game. My only question is do you get so many a round or is it charge based?

How it works seems much simpler. From what I can tell it has both an area of effect and a lock on for one specific enemy who the EoF will follow.
This is interesting. I wonder how will this work?

Cool

YES!! I wonder if it will be in multiplayer outside of firefight as well.

That means nothing. Cost is still cost. And since a spartan II (the one with the shield armor) costs as much as an entire battle group, I can't imagine a ship, a very decent size ship by the way, costing anything LESS than a spartan II. So I assume 2 battle groups.
Your failing to take into accout the research and development of the armor. Not to mention reverse engenering covenant technology. Size is not as much of a factor. It may be bigger but it's the "features" that determan the cost.

Also you do understand that by battle group we are talking about Ships, not people.

Like above but with more ships. A hell of a lot bigger then a Spartan or a Saber.

It took them all the way until the Fall of Reach (2552) to make the spartans' shields. Infact, only one suit (Mark V) was made with shield tech. Before more were made, Reach was attacked. I guess I can see they would want to put shields on a ship before a spartan, but still the cost is a very big factor. It's like a laptop and a computer, sure they both do basically the same thing, but they are affected by the size, which determines their cost.

And yes, I know we are talking about ships. 1 spartan II is worth an entire battle group (I forget what number determines a battle group, but it is a lot) and full crew for said battle group. So yes, they cost a lot.

They very in size, but they are smaller then a fleet.

Well I meant the R&D of the Armor in general. The Mark V went into service a full year [http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=BWU_012910] before Reach was attacked.

Also while it's easy to assume that the Armor is the expensive bit that may not be true. They kidnapped and flash cloned these children and basically gave them everything. Training, weapons, outfits, food, injuries (Just how many times did they badly maim someone) experimental augmentation, cover ups. The costs add up.

However I read somewhere that what makes the Saber experimental is its revolutionary shielding system. So maybe they do cost more, but if that is the only difference then I don't think so.

Halo Reach Around, it's the same shit as all of the other Halos are. No doubt M$ will pay "reviewers" to give it high scores of 10s and fanboys will cum in their pants to be blinded by the marketing hype for this shit. The gameplay looks as generic and overrated as all the other Halos, OOOH! SPACE BATTLES! Pfft, looks like a retarded Star Fox in HD. The graphics look horrible too, they only look marginally better than Halo 3, and that game looked horrible.

ATTENTION HALO FANBOYS!
This is my opinion, so take it and leave it!
Fuck and here I thought this troll wasn't going to leave his awful stench here. Get banned dude (haven't I said that to this guy like 3 times already?)
