Some of the maps are ok, but it feels like I play the same ones I don't like too much. The forge designs get old as well with the same green and grey, it would be awesome if Bungie released more forge tools and aesthetic designs as a DLC.

I think maps can make or break online shooters. There where only one or two maps I didn't like playing in COD4; I doubt I could name one or two maps I want to play in MW2.
I was the exact opposite. I disliked most of the maps in 4 and loved almost every map in 6.

I think that the maps are just fine, and anyone complaining is ignoring the many, many uses of Forge World.
As we all know, many of those maps created by players are in the matchmaking playlists already.
Which maps? I haven't seen any.
I forgive your inability to sense sarcasm in plain text.
I had an inkling alright... wasn't sure though :D

That is quite interesting. At least we can agree that maps are a very important aspect of the game?

Hmm... Trailer Park and Favela... that's about the only two I'm happy to see come up in playlists.

Our map would have been amazing, but you had to go and delete the big rock and spiral stair thing. Dick.

I'd love that... the ability to make the Forge items more colourful and pretty. The grey blocks and beige rocks are pretty ugly.

One thing Forge really, really needs... an 'undo' button. I accidentally deleted 26 wall pieces today :(

Oh, and the ability to glue items together, copy paste and move stuff around locked together would be cool.

Just a totally unrelated question (I'm getting Reach soon so I'll answer the main question later) but why Favela? I honestly hated that map for every reason you can think of.

I somewhat agree. If there were some more maps then it probably wouldn't be a problem, but Bungie is most likely saving them for DLC.

I would like it if they brought some halo 3 maps back, because I miss playing infection on sandtrap, driving around the map with extremely fast zombies coming after you.

How did you accidentally delete 26 wall pieces?! I'm a little impressed.

OT for once: I'm still not too sure about the maps. None of them stand out as amazing, but then I don't think any are awful either. Once I get to learn them better I think I'll enjoy them more. Like Reflection. That map confuses me so much, but I'm sure once I get used to it I'll like it. It looks amazing as well.

I guess because it plays fast... my main problem with MW2 is the anti-rushing design, and I always seem to be able to rush on Favela and get some success...

I literally just run in a circle: through the two story in the middle by the B Dom Flag area, out the side window, around by the road and cars by A, up the stairs in the camper building and out onto the rooftops and back down again!

When you highlight an item and press 'x' you get a bunch of options, one of them is 'Delete all of these'

You don't want to hit that one by mistake, believe me :D

Ouch. That's unpleasant. Actually, the lack of an undo button does seem like a serious oversight. I would have expected it considering all the other improvements.

Yep. Another thing that bugs me a bit is how finicky and temperamental the controls are for rotating items... but it's a minor niggle, it's still the most addictive, amazing game feature I've ever seen.

Zealot isn't form Halo 3, I know that much.
OT: I was hoping for a few more standard maps and less forgeworld variants to be honest, after Halo 3 had so many, but I am thoroughly enjoying the multiplayer anyway, so I'm not really too bothered for now, and by the time I am, then forgewolrd will practically be a game in itself.

At least 4 maps are re-makes of Halo 2 maps.

In all honestly the lack of original multiplayer maps is my biggest Reach gripe.

Zealot is from Halo 2&3
And Reflection is from 2.
Two of the better old maps if you ask me. I highly enjoy seeing Ivory Towers (Reflection) again.

OT: I think they're ok. I don't really have a problem with them. I must be awesome at the multiplayer (doubtful) because I have noticed it is very very very difficult to successfully camp on Halo. On MW2, you could camp in some places and be VERY hard to kill, but the (successful) camping seems to happen less on Halo. *shrug*

However, on SWAT in the smaller maps, I have noticed that you can easily spawn kill people. Of course, this could happen on all the Halos, but that is annoying.
