Halo Reach maps - Not great?

I like all of them, one of the only games i have where i like all the maps...

They all have their Bad Points...but they are outnumbered by the good points...

Spire for example, sure it's sniper paradise, but their are many places to hide and the snipers are vulnerable on the tower.

Anyways, OT: yah, the maps aren't that great. But I've pretty much just stuck with campaign and firefight for the time being, so I don't particularly mind.

I've been avoiding most Reach threads actually.

Boardwalk and Powerhouse are good, Sword Base just encourages camping which is the opposite of what I expected of a Halo game. I like Pinnacle, but it's just taken from Halo 2 so there's no real creativity there. Overall, I'm disappointed in the map selection. But I agree with some of the people in saying that Bungie is probably sitting on some sweet maps for DLC, and to keep their fan base from running back to MW2 they better release them soon.

How was my original post trolling? All you are doing now is arguing for the sake of arguing. Everything would have been fine but you had to say "No, you don't" and for what reason? Just so you have a reason to post in a thread you have no reason being in. Also, I do care if map packs are being made because I want more maps for Matchmaking.

I feel as if Bungie broke a golden rule of gaming. DO NOT EVER base the multiplayer maps directly off of the campaign maps. When I go to multiplayer I don't want to feel as though I'm replaying the campaign with smarter enemies, I want an entirely different experience.

I spend most of my time on invasion. Somehow constantly playing the same 2 maps doesn't feel old. Possibly because the game can go very differently dependent on the people playing. Also because occasionally you get to play invasion slayer on Haemorrhage, and I love the idea of having Blood Gulch back!

Unrelated side-note: I got booted earlier for attaching a plasma grenade to an enemy. Turns out a team-mate had been watching the fight, decided to wander in after I died to pick up the kill, and got blown up when he climbed on the guy for an assassination. Obviously this was my fault...

I WANT MORE UNIQUE MAPS BUNGIE! In all fairness I've seen them pre-made Forgeworld so much now. Plus isn't Zealot from Halo 3? And Reflection from Halo 2?

Zealot is brand new. Reflection is Ivory Tower from halo 2 and some of the forgeworld maps are replicas of Halo 2 maps, like how Asylum is a Sanctuary remake and Pinnacle is a remake of Ascension. Cage is based on Guardian and Lockout while Hemorhage is a remake of Blood Gulch. So every Forgeworld map draws from Halo 1-2.

That said, that leaves about 4-5 original maps right? Not a lot, but I do hope Bungie adds more real soon. I just hope I won't have to pay for it.
