I've never been a huge Halo fan so correct me if I'm wrong but didnt Reach fall years before the first game? Why do these Spartans look like they have newer gear? Don't say because the graphics are better, thats not a legit reason.

it fell as the first game started actually. halo 1 starts in the middle of a "wtf?" moment.

You know I'm not much of a Halo fan nor a MC fan, but I know the draw behind the character and game...and the fact that Bungie is planning to make a Halo game without MC...I don't know...

Sounds like they're trying to sabotage their own product...lol

Read "Halo: Fall of Reach." If its loosely based on that, than the MC not being in the game is not guarenteed.

Oh ok, I was under the impression humanity had been at war with the Covenant for decades and that Reach was the first world to fall.

they have been, but reach was not the first to fall. at that point in the war, it had been going on for like 20 some years. reach was the last planet before Earth, which has the last remaining humans.

I enjoyed it. You can call me a Bungie fanboy all you want, but I personally love the whole Halo series. I've been playing it since CE, and I think it's a blast. I've also read The Fall of Reach, so I'm kinda excited to, as someone else recently put it, "starting the fight that I've already finished". I'm also slightly intrigued by the possibility of a class-based game. The fact that Bungie is stepping outside their comfort zone by removing Master Chief (Yes, I know they did it in ODST, but that was more of an expansion) is very interesting to me. Uh, I really don't care about the trailer, I knew it wasn't going to be anything important. If you look at the ODST development timeline, the gameplay trailer came out like 2 months before the game was released. Let the flaming/ fanboy comments commence!

They don't have newer gear, they have older gear. Master Chief's armor in Halo CE was brand new.
