My apologies for having an opinion that differs your own. Obviously I should only state my opinion in public forums when it is the general consensus. Oh wait... actually the topic is what I thought of the reach trailer/announcement. The "I love bungie so much I would let all of their employees brick in my face" thread is else-where. Here's some advice; If you can't handle someone not loving something you like, then kindly remove yourself from the internet.SantoUno said:That was pretty cool, why the hell did they get those custom armors!? Master Chief's looks so bland when compared to theirs. Or maybe that's just because we have all seen Master Chief's armor for so long. Anyway I sure hope the story is really captivating this time, it could redeem the Halo series so that haters like these fuckers can't trash on it:

I am simply a person who has no love for Halo, little love for FPSs, and even less love for competitive multi-player. Even with these things in mind, I am a person who is of the opinion that even the original Halo was hardly revolutionary, and has added even less to gaming through it's sequels. Yes, it's fairly well tweaked and polished. Yes, it's visuals are impressive, but beyond that it has nothing to offer. Even on it's positive points there are games that do it better.
Now before you go raging, please understand my position as someone who does not long for master chief's balls on my chin. For every added degree of love and fan-boyism that you portray for something like this (especially in disbelief that someone couldn't adore your precious Halo), people like me have to compensate with our hate. A lot of people can't swallow their pride and admit that a lot of their burning hate for something is fueled by other people's love for it, but it's quite common. I feel the need to counter-balance people who damage the gaming industry by throwing their money at the prettiest game on the shelf, all the while completely ignoring the golden titles in the bargain bin. Actual gamers, like myself, remember a better time in gaming.
Hate me if you want; I simply would like to see a better game take the throne. Is it so wrong to want to see gaming progress? Gaming will never be taken seriously as a creative medium so long as our lead ambassador is a green, faceless space marine who battles hammer wielding gorillas in space with guns that look and sound as if they fell off the Wham-o production line. Of course, it's probably hopeless seeing as how something meaningful with an actual message and some of the tightest gameplay to be seen in years is released and all that is left to note is retarded ass memes and morons who won't shut the fuck up about how the "cake is a lie".
