People keep talking about forge, mind filling me in?

Basically it's a huge Map Editor.

its not a map editor, its a item placer.

Editing maps includes putting items in it. Being able to delete whole structures and change the landscape is pretty much a map editor.

Another space marine romp? Count me out.

As opposed to... earth marines? Cause that's been done just as many times. Random civilian? Bioshock, plenty of copies of bioshock. Anyway, space marines are interesting. And Spartans are possibly the most interesting space marines ever.

Halo is the only console multiplayer shooter I like, so yeah, I'll be getting Reach. The thing with Halo is it actually takes some semblance of skill to play (well, not Halo 2), while still being fun.

Also, it's THE party game.

Nah man, the best space marines, or should I say marine, is Commander Shepard. Although he's technically no longer in the military.

I thought the game was just gonna be something fun and a little maybe rent type game. After watching the Forge World vidoc I'm counting down the days until this game.

It looks like a fantastic game that will have an OK campaign and a never ending amount of diversity in multiplayer. Who said it was bad??
