Coke (as in the drink) does the trick. Full of sugar and caffeine. And it will kill all the dodgy germs you ate with the kebab from the night before.
Coke will dehydrate you even more.
Nah it won't. People always say that because caffeine is a mild diuretic, but the overall result is a net gain in fluids.

Hangovers are at least partially caused by dehydration, just drink as much water as possible.

Going by science, lots of water should help.
But I've never had first-hand experience to try it out, so I dunno.

Water, or Berocca, before you go to sleep. Then more in the morning. Also, sex. It's the best way to start making you feel better. I guarantee it!

Best way to cure a hangover is not to get one at all.

To do so:

1. Always eat a hearty meal before drinking (preferably with a good source of protein and complex carbs). This is absolutely required. It slows the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream and means you can drink more, for longer, without ending up completely shit-canned.

2. Sip water between drinks. It will help dilute the alcohol in your system and keep you more hydrated. Don't listen to the people who are going to call you a wuss for doing this; they're the ones who are going to end up staying in bed the entire next day.

3. Eat again at the end of the night. Preferably something hearty, but try to avoid too much grease since it will really just...loosen your bowels so to speak with all the alcohol already in you.

4. Pound Gatorade at the end of the night (at least a quart) and if you have access, take a B-Vitamin supplement. Also, eat a banana or two.

5. Ride out your drunk as much as possible before going to bed, resist the urge to pass out. Keep drinking water / Gatorade, watch movies, browse the web, anything you have to do to stay up as long as possible.

6. As soon as you wake up in the morning, take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen.

7. Be hangover free and laugh at all of your dumb hungover friends.

Source: Growing up in a state (Wisco) of professional drinkers (my avatar picture is a mini-fridge full of 40s). We take it seriously around here.

Follow these steps and you're almost guaranteed a hangover free day, though you will still probably be tired and a bit lethargic if you hit the bottle hard enough.

I don't get hangovers at all luckily, but water and lots of it would be the most logical solution
It's fun to not get them. High five!

OT: During my work experience the staff of the charity shop I worked in shared their hangover cures with me. These ranged from drinking lots of water, to drinking more alcohol, to a fried breakfast.

Eating McDonalds to cure a hangover works for me and my friends. It may seem like the last thing you want to do but for us it actually works.

Gatorade before bed, gatorade when you wake up during the night, and gatorade during the day the next day. I've had one hangover. It lasted till 7pm the next day. Gatorade helps.
that's a good one. gatorade helps because it contains electrolytes, and the loss of those (caused by drinking) is what causes the hangover.
you could also order some e-lytes infusions at your local pharmacy, but gatorade is easier. if you don't work at a hospital. i guess.

Welcome to the Escapist, as a quick warning, please don't antagonise the resident cat. She replaced the resident troll, George, when he died of swine flu. She's only a kitten, but girls can be much more vicious than boys, and kittens can be deadly...

Anyway, as far as hangover cures go, nothing beats rehydrating yourself with lots of water before you go to bed. Apart from not drinkng in the first place, except that's no fun. However, aside from water, I usually go to uni. My student union has a juice bar/bookshop/internet cafe o the basement level, and so I go there with a book or NME Magazine, wearing my trilby, and drinking whatever fruit smoothies they have on special ofe :). Clears up a hangover in no time at all...

My usual cure is... more like prevention really. Just before bed: a couple of aspirin and as much water as I can drink (usually two pints). Same again when I wake up. Seems to do the job pretty well for me, but there's no such thing as a guaranteed cure for everyone on account of differences in physiology.

Blue Powerade works wonders. What I do, if I am not too blasted the night before, is get 2 bottles of powerade, put one in the fridge and one next to my bed. When I wake up early to hit the bathroom, pound the powerade next to your bed and go back to sleep for an hour, then get up and sip on the second one while watching saturday morning cartoons. Works like a charm, but if you are still hurting then its time for some hair of the dog, meaning A(singular, one) beer. Also, don't get drunk on shit like coolers or smirnoff ice, that shit will make you diabetic by noon...
Greasy food helps for a hangover, but don't eat greasy food while you are still drunk, your body will stop processing the alcohol and start in on the food, saving the booze until you are done digesting your meal, therefor prolonging your hangover.
Keep in mind that all of these "cures", including this one, are based on personal experience and anecdotal evidence, so you really need to find what works for you; one of my best friends gets 2 day hangovers and has tried pretty much everything, the only thing that works for him is to have a beer the next morning, and he isn't quite in so much pain.

A massive greasy fry up with plenty of chopped tomatoes, beans and scrambled egg. Massive quantites of sausage and bacon as well, and black pudding if you're into it, coupled with a sugary tea. And a couple of paracetemol to go down with it.

Always works for me, without fail.
