Hey, everyone. Happy Passover (and Easter, although that's later) to everyone!

Discussion Prompt: What interesting things have happened to you, either this Passover or ones in the past? For that matter, what stories do our Christian friends have of Easter?

For me...I got nothing.

Happy Passover/Easter to you as well, my friend :D

I used to get an "Easter present" when I was little, is that a common thing? The best I ever got was the one I bought myself a few years ago - God of War ^__^

I miss egg hunts. Also, I don't know why I celebrate this- probably because of the free chocolate though.

I ahve to agree with Kukul. Except the passing out thing. What is passover? Nothing I've ever heard of.

And ... We celebrate easter .. Is it not normal for non-religious people to celebrate easter?

I know it doesn't make sense, but .. I've never ever connected easter with christianity ..

As long as you don't pass out eating leavened bread, we're good. Happy Passover! AngelofDeathsayswhat?

You've honestly never heard of Passover? It's a feast commemorating the Israelites' exodus from Egypt and their liberation from slavery.

Happy Passover to you, too. May your firstborn survive the night when the angels see the blood.

Passover is the Jewish celebration of us being liberated from Egypt, when we were slaves. That's the official story, at least. My Rabbi says that, although we are celebrating getting out of Egypt, it's really a celebration of spring, much the same way that Easter is officially a celebration of Jesus' resurrection, but is really a celebration of Spring.

Allright. I see =)
Thanks for the lesson. And that means it's okay for me to celebrate easter! Yay! Chocolate!

Chag Pesach Same'ach to you, my friend.

Oi, I'm not Jewish, but I do have a lot of Hebrew friends who invite me over for Passover.

Okay, I'm cool with everyone's religions, but today at work, I think I'm going to say it just to throw people off.

Happy Ostara day to all; and to all a goodnight! Woosh!

Ugg, I hate Passover. This is by far my least favorite holiday. Giving up bread blows.

Uhh, a story? Well, last year on the very last day of passover I went to the diner outside my dorm and they were serving buffalo chicken pizza. My roommates (both christian) were rubbing my nose in how delicious it was. It was also a one night only type of thing, so I never got to try it. Oh well.

The thing about Passover is that it starts out great, then gets steadily less and less fun over the course of the 8 days.

Happy Passover to all of my Jewish friends on the Escapist. Though it was actually a slightly negative experience for me since it kept me from playing Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, so I was sitting there dying to play it the whole time. Ah well.

Also, I was sitting there laughing the whole time because I kept thinking about the Family Guy scene where there are the two slaves in Egypt saying how the Jews are getting their hard times out of the way and it's gonna be smooth sailing from then on.

It's funny because that's not what happens!

That's probably my most interesting Passover story. They're never particularly fascinating, are they?

Happy Passover!

Also, being gay I don't really feel the need to celebrate fertility with Easter. Yes, fertility... tell me what rabbits and eggs have to do with Jesus.
