Tres Cool on Green Day Rock Band. You have to 100% each drum challenge at 100% speed. Some of them are nuts. I've played expert drums on Rock Band for about 2 years now, with masses of DLC, and I will never get this.

Also Bladder of Steel on Rock Band 2. You have to finish the endless setlist (84 songs at once) without pausing, or failing any of them. I got it on my expert run.

None, I am always discouraged by hard looking achievements so I only do the "they are supposed to be hard but you know they aren't" type of achievements.

I think "With Friends Like These" from Team Fortress 2 or anything similar would qualify. It's difficult for me and my four D&D playing colleagues to get together for a gaming session due to our various schedules...how the PHRACK am I supposed to get all those people together for a single game of TF2?

Simpsons the game, when you have to press the start button. I'm serious, my start button was broken, so I had no chance of getting that achievement.

Fable 3 - Getting every weapon.

One of the most horrible achievements ever - forces online, forces you to trade, plus many weapons are far too rare.

Honestly, if anybody has any weapons they can give me, I'd appreicate it. I'll never get the achievement otherwise.
Do you need Avo's Lamentation? I don't use swords too much and have finished the game

Yer I do! :D As well as like 30 others.

It could possibly be one of the worst achievements to get ever. It doesn't rely on skill or strategy like other hard achievements but on pure luck XD

Oh, Good God, that one took me ages. Just find a pattern and stick to it, one of those times you'll get lucky and FINALLY get it like I did, after a few hundred tries.

Look mate no need to be like that, I was well aware that there have been posts like this in the past and there probably will be more just like it in the future.

But as you may have noticed, if your a regular Escapist user, the online community here has been growing and although it may not look it (due to my pathetic post count :p) ive been using the Escapist for several years now.

So do you not think its fair to re-post similar topics from time to time, to let those who couldnt post on it last time share thier views, and let newcomers post on topics they find interesting? I mean hell were going to run out of decent ideas for posts eventually right? May as well makes use of the ideas we have.

So before shouting "SEAARCH-BAAR" at anyone you please just because you may have seen a similar post in the past, just think about how mutch of an idiot you sound when you do.

Just a word of advise is all :)

"Nothing Special" on Left 4 Dead. I dunno if there is some trick to it or something, but a whole campaign with no survivors taking any damage from any special infected? Especially with the population of morons in the game...
even after the Zombie Genocide achievement, a countless amount of hours and many, many attempts I have never come close to doing this.

Seriously 2.0 from Gears

not necessarily difficult
but to kill 100,000 enemies?
i've had the game since it came out fresh and i'm still on 32,000
not that i'm going out of my way to get the thing but how on earth can anyone who is have the patience to do that?

EDIT: oh and also Lost Planet 2, generally because i make it a rule not to use walkthroughs or online help. And (nearly) EVERY single achievement is a secret one
jeez!

In all the CoD games I have had I don't think I have had that many put together!
That must take serious time and dedication!

You and four guys? Sorry, but in order to get that achievement you need a total of seven friends.

Speaking of TF2 achievements:

Pyromancer: inflict a total of 1,000,000 points of total fire damage (Pyro)
Tartan Spartan: inflict a total of 1,000,000 points of blast damage (Demoman)
Chief of Staff: heal a total 1,000,000 points of damage (Medic)
Redistribution of Health: Heal 1000 damage with med-kits in a single life (Heavy)
Banner of Brothers: buff five friends at once with the Buff Banner

Yeah, that's what I meant. If five guys who actually live in the same general area can't coordinate schedules to meet, how the heck am I going to coordinate schedules with seven guys online?

There is one achievment in Guitar Hero 2 where you have to obtain five stars on every song in expert mode -_-
