FFXIII's Vercingetoryx. If you don't know what he is, here's a link to the wiki on him. [http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Vercingetorix]

Flamelurker... Unpredictable...
He's one of the most predictable bosses, you just need to watch his signals. Every attack he does he thrusts his arms in a different place and roars for a good second. False King or a good Old Monk player would be a better example.

My vote would be Jubileus from Bayonetta. I'm pretty sure the developers thought "Let's remake Mundus from DMC 1 but make the fight longer and give her an instakill move".

Probably Yunalesca from FFX. Had to go back and grind forever to get strong enough to beat her. Or Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts.

The Tsunami from Colony Wars is still one of the hardest boss fights I have ever gone up against. Surprise, surprise, the canon ending is that you lost the final battle. setting up the events in Colony Wars: Vengeance.

I found Flamelurker to be unpredictable. I never really had time to look at him properly, I was usually too busy healing. Hell, compared to Flamelurker, False King was extremely easy, only died when I got too reckless, unlike Flamelurker where I sometimes felt like I died for getting too close to him.

I-no, Arcade Mode, Guilty Gear X2 #RELOAD: Midnight Carnival.

Never again.

Also, the Old Monk in Demon's Souls whenever a player was summoned to act in his role. Those were fantastically difficult, but enjoyable, battles. I include when I, myself, was summoned to fill his role in that list as well. It was often a brutal fight but a very rewarding victory.

So far I've never found boss that I had a harder time with than that vampire guy in FFT. The final boss was easier than that raging asshole.

The final boss (all 3 stages) in Heavenly Sword. I yelled and cursed my voice into oblivion that day.

Probably the hardest that I've actually beaten is Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts.

Probably Flamelurker in Demon's Souls.

Unpredictable, strong, fast, becomes even faster after taking some damage.

There were harder bosses in other games, but so far only Demon's Souls has had real difficulty, my deaths against Flamelurker weren't because the RNG said "fuck you" and killed me in some cheap way.
This, also one hell of a corpse-run.

I hated that pit, probably died more there than in any of the actual boss fights.

The final boss in alien hominid without dying or on expert. That was the most I've ever sworn while playing video games.

If we're counting MMOs, pre-nerf M'uru hands down.
Hogger...
But seriously, pre-nerf Cthun...

not mmo would probably be... I cant remember but I wanna say it was from the nintendo 64...
Do you mean pre-FIX C'thun? When he was literally impossible due to bugs? Cause once he was fixed he wasn't so bad. M'uru was doable, just ABSURDLY BRUTAL.
