RPGs...Mages. They require careful management of MP and often die in one or two hits.
It depends on what level you are. At low level, yes, mages are piss-poor and will die very easily, but at high levels, it's warriors who have the problems. By that stage, mages can be absurdly powerful and wipe out all but the most powerful warriors before they can even get close enough to attack.
I know that from Two Worlds (yes, i played that long enough to get to a high level), but the beginning is where we all start. And in single player games, mages are all alone with that pathetic health...all alone...

The Scout in TF2 is the hardest class ever, the only class in that game were i cannot get more kills than deaths..

And i really want that frikkin scout update, annoys the living day lights out of me..
Hah. Well, the way I see it, scouts weren't really meant to get all the kills. They're almost on par with spy in just seeing what the enemy is up to, till you run into a sentry. That said, I rock pretty hard with a scout. Double-jumping ftw.

Also, what update?
The update where you get the new weapons for the Scout, the sandman, force-a-nature and atomic punch..

The following is pretty bad in Call of Duty 4:

M40
M9 Suppressor
Flash Grenade
Bandolier
Double Tap
Eavesdrop

You only kill instantly (which is important for snipers) with shots to the head, unless your opponent is using juggernaut, in which case it takes two shots...

Although I have completely wrecked people using this setup (thanks to my 1337 skills).

In MMOs I'm a horrible damage dealer, but give me a pure healer and nobody will ever die.

In shooters I fail at sniping, and I prefer to just run around shooting everywhere.

Not one class but a group of classes as any support class in any genre is fiddly to master, because it takes a certain someone to step up and be a credit to their team. With DnD it bard and cleric as one a walking band aid the other jack of all master of none and both need to be very close to front lines to be effective and useful but don't last long when get mixed up in the battle. BF series engineers have had it rough as crappy primary weapon and a bag of explosives but when comes to ambushes and bottlenecks ain't a class what does it better save perhaps sniper what nigh impossible to do unless pot shot campers and any great range.

TF2 think it engy as while any smuck can set up a sg camp in one place and hold the line (takes alot of patince and reason why so hard to sit about doing cock all for a round but hiting your sg,) bit a good engy has to set a decent staging ground and defence, know where can be hit from gaurd the flanks and weak spots, be on constant spy alert. Alternativly trying to flank your opnent setting up a flanking position without aid of cloak set up shop without others been aware what hard but so so satisfying especialy final stage of goldrush or second of dustbowl.

Force in Phantasy Star Online Episodes I & II
although they romped in a team, real tricky to play by yourself. I died a lot.

But totally necessary for challenge mode. I don't know about you but the android race seems broken, those freeze traps are pretty deadly especiallyin multiplayer. I'd say it would be the Humar who is hardest, you're going to be at close range so you will get hit a lot. I might need to double check this, but they know the fewest techniques of all classes that can.
I prefer Ramar, really balanced out with high accuracy, give him a rifle and you are set for the game up to Ultimate especially if you have the Justy.

I was always a hunter (Humar), I used a lot of magic to and when we played with friends I was healing because I had jacked up resta. I never got to play online though. I didn't like Rangers because I always wanted to be in the front fighting, that may have been because I was ten and like that but I dunno. I thought the Newman Forces were the hardest because they were so squishy and didn't have much good stuff early on unless you like had another high level guy to help give them stuff, but hey to each his own right?

I'd have to say the sniper because you have to sit there and wait for your victims to come into range and then wait for that perfect shot or you'll give away your position too soon. But it does pay off when you snipe the entire team inside 6 seconds. (COD4, .50 cal, one kill per second)

For MMOs, it depends on what you are doing. Straight soloing and grinding, any class that isn't DPS is harder to grind with.

For grouping I'd say pure DPS classes, especially those designed as glass cannons. Pull hate at the wrong time and you'll wipe the raid.

Warrrior in WoW. Everyone in the battleground can take down a warrior. Warlocks and Mages can take you down without even getting scratched. Don't even get me started on Rogues. Hunters use their pets to keep us at bay while they pick us off and Paladins can heal themselves no matter how hard we hit. I stopped playing before the Death Knight class was added but I am pretty sure they can kick a Warrior's ass too. Don't believe me. How many warriors do you see at the top of the battleground results screen?
You're kidding?? I used to tear people up as a warrior in WoW - it's all about knowing what moves to use against each class

But in RPGs - healer classes due to piss poor damage
In shooters - shotguns due to the limited range

Besides eavesdrop that's not too bad a build really - but I do prefer the extra the extra damage from stopping power myself

EDIT: Oh! and TF2's spy - the enemy ALWAYS seems to know when I'm disguised even if I come from their spawn side

Stopping Power is extremely much better to use, which is why this class sucks.

Also... SPYCHECK!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!

Much as I like sniping in games, it does get annoying in games like Crysis where the enemy can always shoot with pinpoint accuracy, enough to pick your nose with a bullet. All this, while standing on the opposite end of the map. Or on the Moon.

And sniper rifles in CQC? No way, they're just too long and heavy to move about proficiently.

I've often found stealth and magic based classes difficult to play with (namely because my skills learn towards the 'get medieval on their asses' area of expertise).
