It might just be me but I SWEAR half that stuff didn't happen in the book.
(it has been, what, four years since that came out though)

Did they really just split it into two parts? Its like there saying "Hey guys, if you want to see the full movie you need to get two tickets!" Then again I stopped caring about Harry Potter years ago.

I like how they're trying to make it seem like releasing the two halves a year apart is a good thing.

Also, why are they showing parts from what is clearly the second half when the first half is the one coming out in Novemeber? is five months away?

And another thing, why have they put even more stuff that wasn't in the books into the movie?

One more, why give some fairly massive spoilers for those people who haven't read the books?

Nope, there's more, why are these films so well loved? They're over-hyped B-Movies based on an actually pretty badly written (but very well-told story) book series.

I think I have some left, why not show us anything about anything really important, apart from the aforementioned spoilers? Why not the Ron/Hermione relationship? Or are they afriad the Harmony shippers will kill the lead actors? Why not the break-in? Why not what most of the movie will about, the three of them hiding in a tent before a massive plot convenience brings them back for the final facet of this badly paced story?

Even more, why not show anyone apart from Voldemort talking? Why not Hermione, why not Ron, for God's sake why not the MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER? We don't go to see a HARRY POTTER movie to see Voldemort, we go to see HARRY FUCKING POTTER!

And my truly final last one, I hate this movie series, and while I enjoyed the books I watch the movies only because I have an obsessive need to complete every series I start. I have not re-watched any of them since Prisoner of Azkaban permanently turned me off the movies, and each one of them has been a slow slide into inexorable shit.

Oh, hang, I still have my tried and trusted opinion which I never fail to bring out when these things are mentioned.

That's right folks, with the build up to Pottermania lurching again, I finally get to bring back:

I HATE MOTHERFYUCKING EMMA WATSON WITH A PASSION THAT BURNS HOT ENOUGH TO SEAR A THOUSAND WORLDS TO EMBER, DRIVING THE PEOPLE FROM THEM AS A RAGE AS ALL CONSUMING AS THE MIGHT OF SATAN HIMSELF LIGHTS THE FIRES OF THE UNIVERSE AS ALL SINKS INTO DARKNESS! FEAR MY HATRED OF THIS PRISSY PRIMA-DONNA *****!

*coughcough* Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.

I like the movies and the books, I am glad they are splitting it into multiple parts, and I think they should have done the same for HalfBlood Prince, too really.

It'd be better than cramming it all into one movie.

That worked for LotR becuase...well...LotR described things in waaaaaaaaay too much detail, really, so it wasn't as long as it seemed.

Awesome! I can't wait. Sucks they're doing the 2 parts, I almost want to wait for them both to be out before I watch them, but I can't punish myself like that.

I think Emma Watson is pretty hot for jailbait. ^^^
She's 20 years old.

I have no idea why they are doing it in two parts. You could easily fit the whole book into one (albeit a little long) movie. EASILY. And besides, the first half isn't exactly the most interesting bit...
And Emma Watson? Jailbait? What?

I disagree. I think if the movie is too long for you to sit through, that says more about you than the movie. Personally, I'm rather upset that it's going to be split like this.

Exactly how are they going to do this? This isn't going to be Kill Bill, finishing off a story arc and then telling a new, related one in the next movie. This is one movie that literally being snapped in half over someones knee just to sell two tickets to the same show. And while I know there is nothing I can do about it, it is nonetheless utter bullshit.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. If I don't go see part 1, then I'll have to listen to everyone else talk about all the details and it'll be ruined anyway. If I do, then I have to wait six months to see the rest of the damn movie.

It would have been good to do it in two parts if it meant keeping in more stuff from the book, if not then its a waste of time really.

I find it interesting that they chose to split the 7'th book in half. One of the worst books in the series, where least things happen (they walk and whine constantly the first half) through out the whole thing, they make into 2x2h... If it wasn't for the hard covers, I would have dismissed it as a bad fanfic.

it would have mademore sense if the two parted the half-blood prince... really

Infact I am. I can't truly say it sucks until I've seen it.
