They have finished it fully, but decided to move it from October to July to make it a summer hit so more people will go see it, which is the DUMBEST THING I have EVER heared. Yeah like HP fans are gonna go and say, "Oh no HP being released in October and it'll be slightly cold if we go see it. Oh I'll just wait until the summer or not see it at all." As if people NEVER go see films because it's a bit cold.

How stupid are these people who decide these things?

Does it matter?
Hard core fans wont mind walking to the cinema in the rain to watch a movie.
Me and my media class are all going to see it.

The movies have been getting gradually worse anyways.
True. But this makes no sense. You go to the cinema MORE in the winter. I do at least, because I spend more time ACTUALLY outside in the summer.

Not sure about england but in the USA most states the kids have the summer off. Harry Potter despite what people think is based off a childrens book. Summer = time more kids and teens with their juicy juicy disposable income are likely to see movies.

actually no most people go to the movies more in the summer, look at the movies that made the most money, they were all summer movies, in the top 10 domestic movies there are only 2 that are not summer movies, the rest are summer movies

so no more people go to the movies in the summer cause it's warm out and they feel like going out, even if it's to drive to the theatre

I'd rather eat my chin than see the new film. They totally destroyed the books, although I havent read them in a while, so I'm not sure if I'll still like them. I enjoyed them at the time though.

And yeah, in the summer most people will be on holiday, which means plenty of people going to see it, whereas in October people will still be at work and school.

Insomniac Gamer: No it won't. That's why it's SO stupid. Real fans of HP will go see it whenever it's released.

People who have not seen HP before WILL NOT go see this one first as everyone knows this is not the first one. If you wanna go see what HP is like go see HP ATSS.

Its not the potter fans that there worried about, it's everyone else who would go and see the movie just for something to do on a hot summer day. Also more people use there holidays during the summer months compared to october and thus more people would be looking for something to entertain them.

I am so very confused. I didn't say anything about seeing the films before? I said it's based off a childrens book. I'm not refuting the fact that they can be enjoyed by all ages but the author herself says they are children's books as does the publisher. I believe at reading level 6 or 7 (about age 13). Summer is when american kids including that age group don't have to go to school so many go see lots of movies. They are trying to increase that demorgaphic and if you live in some parts of this country going out to do ANYTHING in the winter is not an option as there is so much snow that getting to your mailbox is something you need to pack a snack for.
