Let's see...
every single time Zero get's beaten up and has one of his "last speeches" in the Megaman X-series :'(
I thought the one ending in X5 when Zero apologizes to Iris as he died was pretty sad.

OT: A lot of stuff in Mass Effect 2 got to me, didn't make me cry though.... much ... alright I'm a wuss. Stuff like Tali finding her father, or Thane reuniting with his son. Even some of the small stuff like the one Asari Pure-Blood on Illium who was bitter at all other races because of the toll their wars have had on her family.

Oh and then there is the Dead Island trailer... yeah, that's a rough one to watch.

The good ending of Bioshock.

My Warden's final exchange with Morrigan before the fight with the Archdemon.

All of Final Fantasy VI, especially the opera scene.

Yes, and no I'm not going to say what it is because there have been about 5 threads of this title and every single time I comment I get one little shit who keeps yapping about how s/he hasn't played the game... Waitaminute, fuck them!

One of the bad endings for heavy rain either when Ethan is shot dead by police at the warehouse while his son Sean kneels down to him and cries helplessly or Ethan shoots himself on Sean Mars' grave.

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals, pretty much every Kingdom Hearts game, and Okami(not so much sadness but shear emotion it evoked during the final boss fight).

I'm pretty sure there are others, but these are the only ones I really remember tearing up on.

Persona 4.
Nanako dying was jesus christ depressing. The only reason I didn't cry was because my brother was in the room so I had to make myself not cry.

The moment in Mass Effect when Shepard escaped the rubble alive got me a little teary eyed.

The ending in Dreamfall didn't exactly get me in a fit of tears, but it came close enough.

In Final Fantasy 8, when Squall was having an emo fit over his switch from being a brooding dick to a hopeless romantic. He was talking to Rinoa while she was in a coma and yelling in an angry fit at what fate seemed to have given him; blah blah blah. It was stupid, sure, but I -had- invested 20+ hours into the game at that point, if not more, so I felt sympathetic enough to get a few tears.

I'm sure there are other examples out there that I just can't remember, but most of them are Bioware related.

The cinematic where all the Black Mages have been killed by Waltz 3 and are falling off the air-ship to Lindblum during FFIX made me very sad. I was young at the time. I didn't actually cry, but I would be lying if I said that there wasn't a bit of moisture in my eye. All those poor black mages, twirling through the sky.

Apart from that, no. Games like RDR have left me in shock, but not actually emotionally sad.

The ending to Portal 2 kinda had me tearing up. The good ending to BioShock, and of course the Dead Island trailer. That got me closes to tears than anything.

The ending of Klonoa. First time I played I cried. Sure, I was young. Recently bought the remake on Wii. I knew the damn thing was coming and I still teared up.

In addition to two of the ones mentioned above (the good ending in Bioshock and the talk with the bitter Asari on Illium in Mass Effect 2), I'll add a couple more scenes that had me misty-eyed.

One was the scene in Mordin's loyalty mission where he says his part in front of the dead krogan female. In fact, once I went through that whole scene, I reset the game (I'd saved just a moment before) and went through it all again, it was so good. Really powerful stuff.

The other was near the very end in Fable 2, where the young-again main character must leave the idyllic fantasy land behind forever, and his/her sister is crying and begging him/her to come back.

This is going to make me sound indie and pretentious, but my list is as follows:

1) Braid - Dude. Seriously.
2) Passage - The moment when I was getting near the end of my first playthrough and everything suddenly clicked into place was heartbreaking and amazing.
3) Minecraft - Pretty near the time I started playing, I spawned onto a tiny, secluded beach alone, wandered the hillsides building a small cabin to survive the first night, and then went out in the morning to find a huge canyon about half-covered in giant, thick overhangs (one of the overhangs even had a cave in it with an entrance on the side!). The combination of that incredibly neat sense of isolation and loneliness one gets in Minecraft sometimes combined with the jaw-dropping discovery broke me. Having played the game for months and months and seen many of the "best" seeds posted online since then, I still have yet to see anything as amazing as that canyon. Sadly, it's from an earlier terrain generator version and the current version of the seed is much less impressive.

We all know that some people can really get into the story, characters, etc. of any game but some games can have those endings or moments in a game that can make any gamer go from tearing up to all out bawling.
yes we do, unfortunately i'm one of those people. A very great deal of the games i play have those "touchy" moments in them... and i tear up every time i play them. i guess i'm just too damn emotional for my own damn good ;D
