Nope...I've never found myself about to cry from any form of media.

Though I would say I get a greater emotional response from gaming than tv or literature.

A couple have. Visual novels make me cry like a baby, especially...

-Ever17: Tsugumi ending
-Fate/Stay Night: fate end and the UBW end
-Planetarian ending

Also, Super Paper Mario. Dear lord, what a melancholy game.

I'm also playing ef and Clannad right now, so I can imagine those will do my tear ducts well.

Persona 3 fes.
God this... The ending in particular was more emotionally stirring for me than P4's, which deserves a bit of credit as well, which is also a bit of a bum deal since nothing short of looking up walkthroughs or having the strategy guide (which I do) is needed in order to unlock it.

Oh and then there is the Dead Island trailer... yeah, that's a rough one to watch.
The Dead Island trailer was soul destroying.

All of Final Fantasy VI, especially the opera scene.
I give credit to FFVI opera scene for being so damned amazing for its time. (Still is...)
But Rachel's death and Celes' Suicide attempt were in particular, sad and jarring respectively, brief as both may be...

Probably at least once in Shadow of the Colossus. At least one the Colossi never really attacks you.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the Dead Island trailer was pretty damn sad too.

Most notably at the end of Legacy of Kain: Defiance when the true reaver gets made...mad sadness/awesome

Most recently infamous both endings...specially the good one

It wasn't crying, just a line of liquid I had to wipe off my face.

But Red Dead Redemption. John Marston was so fleshed out that he could've died from liver disease and you'd still weep.

This is good huh?
Admittedly MGS3 got me a few times. MGS4 did too.

Oh and Skies of Arcadia, when Drachma talks about the feather box.

A few games have, but especially the ending of MGS4. It might have been a bit over the top and a bit too long, but when Sunny asks Otacon about Snake, I suddenly welled up inside at the same time Otacon did. Also:
I've always had a soft spot, so to speak, for stories about fathers and sons, as my relationship with my own father is a bit damaged. This made me cry.

"This is good, isn't it?"

God damn.

Few games have made me cry. I'd say the most notable was Dom finding his Wife in Gears 2.

Homeworld when you come back to Kharak to see it on fire with adagio playing in the background.

Mass Effect when the nuke went off. First time I played through the game was with a FemShep who had just had a few (very late due to rushing to save the galaxy) nice conversations with Kaidan. And I chose Kaidan to die because Ash the soldiers was more likely to bring a victory.

I've played some great games, with some great storylines, but I've never cried, or even been close to crying. Of course, I never cry during anything... movies, songs, what have you. So yeah.
If I may recommend something, watch Clannad. Both seasons; make sure to watch it all. If you don't cry in that, you have no soul. I never cried in anything, then I watched that, bawled like a baby, and now I cry in pretty much everything. Stupid show broke me. So good though.

OT: Plenty of times. Final Fantasy VII, Rogue Galaxy, The World Ends With You, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy X, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami... it happens. The end of Halo: Reach was pretty hard-hitting too.

Hey, Sokka-avatar person! Good to see you again.

I keep hearing that Clannad's good and emotional and whatnot. It's on my list of things to watch, and it's on InstaPlay for Netflix, so I'll probably get to it soon.

Though thinking about it, I teared up a bit during Lost Odyssey, near the beginning, when the kids' mom died. This was about a week after my dad passed on, so it hit a little too close to home. But I can't think of anything other than that.

Oh, you'll find me anywhere someone says they've never cried in a movie/game/book/song. Because I've only met one person who didn't cry in Clannad, and he had issues. :p So I patrol these forums to make sure people know of the one show that is guaranteed to break their non-crying record. It's also my favorite anime for that very reason, so you know. :p

Lost Odyssey is sitting on my shelf, actually, waiting to be played soon. Sometime within the other 25+ games I have on there, including Morrowind, Oblivion, Legend of Dragoon, and Final Fantasy VIII and IX. Not sure when it will fit in, lol.

I wouldn't say cry or even close to crying, but a few games did have pretty damn emotional scenes. Those being:

- The ending of Crisis Core, MINUS the J-Pop.
- The ending to Metal Gear Solid 3.
- Few scenes in Metal Gear Solid (The PS version, not the remake) and very few in MGS4.
- A certain scene in The Darkness.
- A few of the Dream sections/stories of Lost Odyssey.

Can't think of any other at this moment.
