Has anyone actually kept their Wii that has bought one?

I'm only asking because my folks just gave me theirs for my birthday after having it for like three months. And I've only known of two situations where people have gotten rid of theirs. My folks, and some old room-mates, which in-turn got their second modded Xbox.

It was really cool to be able to go to my folks house and hear them say something along the lines of, "hey, let's play something..." after years of them giving me shit about playing games.

I do have some beef with Nintendo right now, as far as... idk them putting out some fucking video games. They seemed more concerned with pumping out the peripherals than actual titles. They're back catalog seems a little lack-luster, too. But I suppose I wanted to play more CG games than Wii. since a good majority of Dreamcast games were ported over to the GC.
SHIT I'VE BEEN DRAGGING ON

My fambily still has the Wii we bought... we just never, ever (ever) play on it. I tried, honest I did, but Red Steel was just SO bad I couldn't bear to continue.

Also, your avatar disturbs me greatly.

Got it the day it came out. Still have it and about 25 games.

That's not stopping it from dust colecting though. (Not really the wii's fault, in recent years games just keep getting added to my "to do" list and never escape that list.)

Yes (I have). How else am I going to play super smash brawl with friends and other original and wii exclusive games?

EDIT.

I've kept my wii since the release date, but recently it's been just gathering dust in the corner of my room for like 3 months...

kinda makes me wonder what i saw in Nintendo 2 years ago before all this "new way to play" tripe with the old gamecube games.

everyone I know that has one is either playing through the few hardcore games on it in alternation with another console/pc or still thinks that playing wii sports drunk is fun after the first time.

I had mine from uk launch to June '08. Nearly 2 years. It's not a bad console, I just got bored with the constant waiting and traded it in for a 360. I like my 360 much more. More games than just first party fanservice and third party shovelware.

Still have mine and play it from time to time. Mostly SSBB and MadWorld. My sis let one of her friends borrow most of my games so I don't even know what I have.
