strangely, the only discrimination I have ever had was because I have red hair. but since I am 5' 11" and have somewhat of a tough reputation, they usually back down.

It never ceases to amaze me what kind of excuses people use for their dickishness though...

I'm a white male. I've been told that I don't have "the attention to detail" for cleaning duties at one job because I'm a guy. I was a more attentive cleaner than half the staff, though.

Also, I've been called a "cracker ass cracker" for being white. I've also had my family accused of being former slave owners. My family came down from Canada fifty years ago.

I've always been of the opinion that you should judge people on their merits.

I have been refused several jobs on the grounds that i have long hair.... i'm a guy by the way, and it does NOT look scruffy. Tidy pony tail is how i had it for the interview.

EDIT: Also, a few days ago in a bar at which i'm a regular, i was told after requesting Stevie Wonder on the jukebox that "that music's not for you white boy D**k Heads."

Not really. I am very tall and solidly built (lucky me) few people will say things like that to my face.

edit: I didn't even think of all the times people act like I'm a moron for having a religion. Yes, that happens a lot. I do not like being lumped in with hate mongers and jerks not all Christians are the same.

I'm a young, white, suburban male.

The only time I feel discriminated against is when I'm trying to pick up chicks in a lesbian club.

I'm ginger, so yeah. Mostly by friends, so I don't care. Although I do actually look like Rupert Grint, so I get called Ron by uneducated chavs.

I was at this camp and an african american guy caught me looking in his general direction. Now, here are his exact words. He said "What, you lookin' at me cuz' I'm brown? There are more of us in the world then there are you you." He continued to go on, saying that Asians (all Asians) were "His Bros" and us white folk were "Ruining the universe"

Not just the planet, the universe. Whoa.

Well the people on the many internet forums whon refer to religion as something only idiots offends me quite a lot. But besides that I suppose I have little to moan about being white and English.

I work as a cashier in a predominately white area, and have to wear a nametag..so when people look at it and see that my name is "Pedro" they sometimes ask "is that your real name?" Now, I've conditioned myself to the sarcastic response, "no, I just picked that name as a joke" and I say it in a way that makes them feel like an ass for asking. But one guy actually believed me when I responded this way..seriously, is it so hard to believe that a guy named Pedro could speak your language better than you can, let alone live in Connecticut? People are ignorant.

yes, the time i applied for a american visitor visa. the american consul is a racism central in wich we go to be discriminated deliberately and we even pay 100 USD for it, or more. As you might guess i didnt get the visa, of course, no money back.

Yeah while in Germany a group of us were going to a club. As we were next in line we were shuffled out of line by the bouncers and told that we couldn't enter the club because we are Americans.

And to get into that line you had to put in 5 Euro as a cover charge saying that you won't leave the line. Yeah we didn't even get that back like some of the others that were shuffled out.

Man everybody, including me, was pissed about that.

Well I am white. But I'm from Canada, so I've heard my fair share of dumb stereotypes. I've also been called a nerd on many occassions, although that hardly bothers me anymore.
I'm also also a white male from Canada, and even though I've already travelled to the U.S.A. at three occasions, the only discrimination I've ever experienced is when I'm playing games online. Surprisingly less in MMORPGs and more in games like TF2 or Counter-Strike. I have never experienced discrimination in Eve Online, since most of the players are adults.

So a few months ago this black guy comes into my store to sell some games and movies. They were in pretty rough shape but I thought they were repairable (though barely) so I did the polite thing and give him full cash trade-in value as opposed to the usual low value for such low quality items. I smiled, gave him cash rounded up to the nearest half dollar, handed him the receipt to sign for our paperwork, then he walked away w/o returning my farewell when I noticed that instead of his signature, he wrote "eat shit, cracka" on the dotted line.

Why. The. Hell? I have no idea. I was polite, generous on the trade-in, and again when it came to the payout. What sort of reaction was he hoping to get after my openhandedness is spat upon? Was he trying to make me hate him so he could feel justified in his own little racist world?

And to top it all off, under the massive scratches the games were all cracked and dented.

So "fine" I figured. I went into his account info and typed "do not accept trades" in the Notes header.

So I guess the prick succeeded.

Well I'm a white straight property owner, I think it's physically impossible to discriminate against me. I do get bullshit about being intelligent enough to be an atheist though. also why the hell would you know anything about socialism? the third Reich was a fascist regime not a socialist one.
Well, the Third Reich were actually socialist that is how they were put into power as the National Socialist German worker's party. Also, there have been many incredibly intelligent people and even more so I imagine far more intelligent than yourself, who have been theologians. You seem to be a bit pretentious, if you weren't sarcastic then I am guessing you are far less intelligent than you want people to think. If you are a troll, please leave.
but...but...but I already claimed the bridge *points t bridge and what looks to be a living room under it* in all honesty I only said that because I'm fucking tired of being berated by morons (not you guys cause I brought this upon myself) because I don't believe in a god. Yes I am quite empirically intelligent, yes I am an atheist, do the two correlate? yah from what I've seen they correlate at least a little bit. does that matter? not really. anyway, I don't care if the third Reich called themselves the anarchist party that doesn't make it true. they were objectively a fascist regime not matter what label they gave themselves. which is why I find it odd that the prejudiced would think you knew about the topic, then it donned on me they're stupid. which would also explain the prejudice.
I suppose I could relate. I don't belong to any religious groups, so when I say that some people do get angry. But the atheists being inherently more intelligent because they are atheists I mean, come on if you are as intelligent as you say you should recognise the lack of logic in there. I mean claiming prejudice means someone is stupid while saying that atheists are more intelligent is hypocritical. Not trying to flame you or anything just trying to help you clear your words up to avoid misunderstandings.

Edit: Unless you were kidding, which I hope you were.
