I've found a few that are close so far. Savage is the closest. They should do that for an FPS though, and with good devolopers, it's been done but poorly.the1ultimate said:So you mean like a multiplayer game where different people affect the outcome of battle in different ways, using different control schemes in the same battle? That sounds like a very specific game.MaskedMori said:I mean, one person controls the base, manages resources, controls most of the units, builds viecles that people can get into, manages upgrades, and other RTS stuffs. (Felt like saying stuffs.) While the others control one unit FPS style, but that unit is stronger than normal and can gain ranks for better stats.
Edit: But none that I can think of.
Savage for the PC. Two teams and each team has a commander. Each unit in the game is another person, playing a first-person view of the battlefield. The commander's orders are seen by units as beacons of light. The units can disregard commander's orders, but since the commander has a bird's eye view of the battle, one must do so at his own risk.MaskedMori said:Yes, this was inspired by that other topic about RTS and Beat em' up. Well, it triggered my memory... I remember thinking if sombody has ever made a game where one person could control an Army/Base/All that jass, while about 2-10 others control heros and strong units FPS style, and there are 2 teams with this type of control that battle it out. Hell, could be completely multiplayer, I have no idea how single player would work well. *Shrug* Just a thought.
